    • RE: What series are you currently watching?

@eobox91103 You are most welcome! Yes, they always come with English subtitles. International streaming sites will always require them. It may not be obvious, but the Korean wave is big in the West. President Obama made a reference of it during his visit to South Korea as it was made the top priority by the Korean government. South Korea has a dedicated goal to become the world’s leading exporter of popular culture.

Also to take note, compared to an evil country that keeps censoring and banning sensitive topics considered controversial; South Korea did the very opposite by banning the censorship laws. This move provided immense opportunities and independence to the young and vibrant generation of Korea to express newer and bolder ideas through cinema and music. I only wish that pornography was made legal too though. South Korea is one of the few countries that explicitly prohibits any form of pornography. Pornographic websites, books, writings, films, magazines, photographs or other materials of a pornographic nature are illegal in South Korea. You would rarely see a shirtless guy in their series or movies. But where all those kdrama-like porno scenes where only the genitals are not seen coming from? I still can't find those titles but you'll see them in porn sites.

Please do not shoot me even if I am a Western Capitalist Pig.

LOL! That is funny but yes the reality is that North Koreans (communist) will force you what they want you to do and South Koreans (capitalist) will pay you in return for a favour. It is only through China that someone from the North could escape to the South. Is that how you got there? what did you even do there? Hehe

I would recommend that you watch Parasite (2019) if you're new to Kdrama. This movie's outcome shocked me. It got 6 nominations and 4 Oscars.

In person though, I really do not want to speak near in front of a Korean. Their saliva goes splattering all over your face. Hahaha. Believe me. I've dealt with a lot of Koreans during the early 2000s when Koreans can no longer handle the poverty they were experiencing in their country's recession at that time. They came in droves to my country to start a new life. some where successful, some where not, some still thriving today for those who decided to stay permanently. Just to tell you the truth, South Korea has been eaten by the rich, if you're not among the rich; life is hard for you. Majority of Koreans can not afford a home which is depicted in a lot of their dramas - a home is always a dream for them.

Oh I got so talkative again. Hehe, enjoy.

    • RE: Boys Love Series

@tanducho234 Yes! An astounding yes! We gays and more gays and not just gays, even families are watching more Boys Love. The girls? The girl fans are more into the books themselves and had turned into critic monsters who think they know better on how men should love each other but they are still good supporters.

Since Boys Loves are now being adapted into television series and movies, they now have a farther reach and wider consumer acceptability compared to Western gay series or gay movies. Gone are the days of fantasies and unrealistic relationships. Boys Loves these days are more like gay series and movies we've all grew up with without the popular bad endings or tragic deaths they came with. They are more about everyday life and their struggles. They now reflect more of what we are and how we are and even better, these series always comes with a message, a message that convinces people and families that we all are just like anyone else and so is our love for each other.

Boys Love are now more considered as normal television dramas just like any other television drama or soap. The difference between straight and gay series are now more being blurred slowly and this is one of the aims of them "gay male boys love series producers". Embed a message in each series that tells everyone that we are no different from them. Boys Love has already evolved to reflect the current generation and generation changes happen every 20 to 30 years. Soon those who were born during the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s will be gone and so will their old systems and teachings.

I myself was born during the early 70s and I am very happy about it that we are now adults in this current generation in which more people are more open about themselves and who they really are. We get to experience the technology of communications and use them as a tool to spread our love. I like Boys Love and has become an ambassador of it and help spread the message it comes with because I was able to reflect my own life experience from one of the series I have watched and it was no fantasy, it was my reality.

The hardship of growing up while trying to keep a secret that you like men, the pressure of your parents wanting to marry you with someone of another sex or expecting you to give them a grandchild. The terror of being found out or being outed when you are not ready. The joy of being proud and being free to tell everyone who you really are. This is me and these are all shown in today's boys love series and more.

I am now 48 and a single father and still very much in love with my partner who is also a father of two that I have met 10 years ago.

You have your own reality and so do we and millions of other people. Learn to respect the people around you and their own experiences in life. In our communities throughout Asia, we strive for acceptance and there is an active drive to instill the normalcy in future generations. We will always fight against the terror of communism and what it can do to destroy years of hard work that peace has allowed us.

Yes! These boys love series contains those messages and yes we also watch them because of the chemistry between male characters and yes because some of them are quite handsome and yes WE ARE GAY!!!

Oh do you know that some boys love are now made direct to video? No book needed. Just watch I TOLD SUNSET ABOUT YOU. It's no fantasy.

Oh! Have you even heard about the Girls Love series?

It has been decided that it will be made into a movie and released in February 2023, with Miyazawa Hio, who will continue to appear in . Directed by Daiji Matsunaga, who also directed "Toilet Pieta" and "Hanalei Bay."

After losing his mother at the age of 14, Kousuke spent his adolescence in a rural town stifling his gay self. Now I work as a fashion magazine editor at a publishing company in Tokyo and spend my free time. He met Ryuta, a personal trainer who supports his mother, who is a single mother. The two are attracted to each other, and spend a fulfilling time together with Ryuta's mother at times. For Kousuke, who has feelings for his late mother, it was a happy time to support Ryuta, who was close to his mother, and love each other. However, one day when they had promised to go for a drive together, Ryuta did not show up for some reason.

Once A Year on Blackpool Sands is a triumphant, comedy-drama based on real events, regarding an extraordinary night in Blackpool 1953, several days after the Queen's Coronation. Tommy and Eddy (Macaulay Cooper and Kyle Brooks) are coal miners and secret gay lovers who spend their holiday at a quirky bed and breakfast in Blackpool, along with a few other "alternative" members of society. Together, they summon up the courage to do the first fabled walk towards Gay Pride. Written and directed by Karlton Parris, this true story offers a rare glimpse into an underrepresented era in LGBTQ history. Touching and poignant, Once a Year on Blackpool Sands offers up a portrayal of the lives of working-class gay men and the women who supported them, in a time when homosexuality was a crime.
