Also, it depends on your location. When I installed Grindr, it was full of young gym rats in my city. I stood out like a sore thumb there and was certainly overlooked. I switched to Scruff. Much more comfortable there.  

Although it's starting to become the case the Scruff is young gym rats with beards.

O4M is litigious and will hit the site with a takedown order very quickly. If you see one you want, grab it quick because it could be gone tomorrow.
