    • RE: Does anyone have NORMAL sex anymore?

      Let me lighten the heavy load you're carrying around.

      No matter what country you are born & raised in, a child's parents & extended family participate in the indoctrination process that instills the values, expectations & rules that will be required to exist & prosper in society.  This usually includes an introduction to the family's belief system, people to admire, people to fear & hate and so on and so on.

      I was taught that LUST was bad and LOVE was good, as if one was opposite the other. I have come to the conclusion that LUST and LOVE are not even related to each other.  One is an emotional response and the other is a bodily function that we are pre-programmed to experience as a means to the continuation of the species.  We sometimes fall in love with someone we have sex with, but we most certainly do NOT have sex with everyone we truly love.

      All male mammals have much the same "Wiring By Mother Nature" instincts.  There are three distinct parts to a male mammals sex life: 1) The Hunt for a Potential Recipient, 2) The Chase & Staging after Capitulation, followed quickly by 3) The Planting of the Seed.  Think about First Time Sex with an individual as compared to Sex in a Marriage. The comparison can best be summed up with the phrase 'You can't Rape the Willing."  There is no Hunt, no Chase, no Capitulation.  Our indoctrination most certainly did not include the factoid that a Man's biggest thrill wasn't the moaning & the groaning if it didn't include the Hunt and Chase portion.  Who knew?

      An education system that hides certain important facts about Human Sexuality is ultimately responsible for sending vulnerable teen age boys and girls out into the world with false expectations and ill prepared for the events that may lead to infidelity and far too many single parent households.  Boys are often told that marriage means never having to go on the hunt for sex partners and for the inexperienced, that shady promise turns hollow when the sexual boredom becomes apparent.

      You may not be comfortable lumping the sex act with coughing, sneezing, pooping, peeing, eating & sleeping.  Just think how different 'wedlock' would be for both participants if sexual fidelity didn't enter into the vows spoken during the wedding ceremony.

    • RE: I wish I was uncut

      The practice of mutilating the male sex tool began centuries ago and was intended to make the penis less sensitive, which was to make sex less enjoyable.  It was first used as punishment for the crime of fornication outside of wedlock and was performed on the guilty in a public place, to dissuade other men from responding to their urges in a similar manner.  After a decade or two, someone got the notion to perform the act on all newborn males as a preventative measure.  If you were born a Jew, the community turned the barbaric act that was to be performed on you & yours, into a coming of age party, lucky you, complete with songs & ritual dances and lots of gauze bandages.

      This atrocity will continue because the mother has the final say.  The line Doctors use to get consent: "If we don't cut off this unnecessary skin now, when the boy begins to mature, he'll require instructions & assistance to keep his penis clean or it will more than likely get infected.  Then we'll have to chop off the entire penis, rather than just a little bitty piece of skin.  So what's it going to be?"  And if that didn't work, they'll make up some statistic that claims 90% of men convicted of rape in the last ten years were uncut.

      You can blame your mother for your missing foreskin, but the ultimate blame rests with the doctor who got paid an additional fee for the extra operation.

    • RE: Madonna over?

      Agreed that her older material was better.  If you skip listening to the radio edits of her handful of huge hits and focus on the 12 inch remixes, the production sparkles.  At the time of their release, her tunes were arguably the highlight song of the night for months after, especially in the gay clubs.  There was nothing to top them.  She had a string of club hits that, at the core, were beautifully produced by John Benitez.  Her career was greatly helped by his skill and musical choices.  The same could be said for Donna Summer who was one of many voices used by Giorgio Moroder, the grandfather of disco.

    • Eurythmics Video Blocked in Germany

      For technical reasons (and not content) my latest video re-edit has been blocked in ONE country only.  Why Germany?  Don't know.  And don't care because the rest of the world can watch it.  It's a video that tackles some rather weighty topics surrounding sex, love, prostitution and slavery.  It's not your average fan-remix video that contains full-frontal nudity (only one erect penis, sorry) and lots of hugging and kissing.

    • Madonna - Who's That Dub vid

      I was never a huge Madge fan so I have no idea what has attracted me to the idea of reworking her old tracks.  To all her detractors, I apologize for not being one of you.  To all her remaining fans, she was never that great.  :cheers:  (I hope that makes at one person laugh out loud.)

      Here's the promised link.  Enjoy (or not)!  https://youtu.be/iS4wFlGNLdM

      While we're on a Madge rant, here's a link to a reworking of one of her old tunes "Who's That Dub" (and not one pic of the bitch).

    • RE: TranceTraffic Member - - Please Help!

      :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2:

      I received a thoughtful PM that suggested I hadn't tried hard enough to retrieve my account through the normal means.  Luckily, I park my feelings and ego and few blocks away at all times, so I took the suggestion with a smile and tried a few variations that I must not have tried before.  Long and short story, I owe [someone] personal pleasure center attention when and if they visit Vancouver BECAUSE I AM NOW LOGGED BACK ON to TranceTraffic.  The panic is over.  It feels like a pet you lost 6 months ago has finally returned home.

      This speaks highly of the usefulness and effectiveness of the forums.

    • TranceTraffic Member - - Please Help!

      A few months back, I struggled with a browser-helper object that installed adware and wiped my cookies and history. I lost my only access I had to one of my absolute favorite music sites - - TranceTraffic and I can't even remember what email and password I used. I was a long time member, contributing to the radio stream occasionally and was a one time psytrance uploader. I'm hoping a fellow member can contact the owner or perhaps Silx with a plea for help. If you can help, please send me a PM here and I'll pass on pertinent details you'll need.

      If all else fails, I'm looking for an invite, but that hopefully will be my last resort.

    • Madonna - Holiday FanMix you might like

      My latest work of art is on display here: https://youtu.be/o6lOV2WwFVo

      It's an extended re-edit and video of Madonna's first big hit and what is still the best 'I need a Holiday' anthem.

    • RE: Suggestions to Newbies: Getting off on the right foot

      Now that they're selling computers to just about anybody, programmers have had to find ways to simplify the complex.  Dumbing down bittorrent at the programmer level in many cases means the client application (the one the downloader installs and uses) will do it's best to give as many features to the user without requiring technical knowledge such as how to open a port.  By tweaking the bittorent protocol, applications such as utorrent are able to let non-connectable users (the ones without an open port) at least connect with some members of a busy swarm.  The plus-side to opening a port is the added ability to connect to any and all members in a swarm, both connectable types and non-connectable types.

      By the way, my original message in this topic pre-dates (I believe but can easily be corrected if wrong) the softer approach to ratio requirements that this site adopted. Harsher ratio requirements require fastidious attention to detail at the user end and most of the masses would be left out if such harshness was the norm.  Not that the masses should be considered dumb, but let's be honest that there is a fairly steep learning curve when you step into concepts like swarms, seeding, ports and packets.  It's always good to have as many nerd friends as possible to help you through these moments.

    • File Formats and Re-seed Requests

      Luv the site and very thankful for the behind-the-scenes work that must go on to keep things humming.

      I feel very guilty about not being able to respond to the system-generated re-seed requests.  All of my downloads (from all sites I frequent) are destined to be burned to disk and in a format that will play on several stand-alone DVD players that I own. Which means I must convert the majority of what I download from here into a compatible format using tools like avidemux and WinAVI.  After the conversions and transfer to disk is complete, I erase both the original and converted files from my hard drive.  Of course this is AFTER I've shared back a healthy amount of upload time and bytes for the original upload.

      I've often wondered if there might be any interest in my conversions and if it would be worthwhile to upload bunches of them in a pack or two or three or four.  I'm pretty sure others in the world create 'party' disks.

      Please don't think I'm complaining about the variety of file container formats that I find here. I wish that every file here would not need extra work to make them useful to me but reality bites!

    • RE: Suggestion: File Obituaries

      @Uwe:

      Well, there is already the Log > http://tracker.gaytorrent.ru/log.php and a function allowing to write to all peers of a torrent is AFAIK on te to-do list since months (or years).

      I wasn't aware of the log.  Having a look at it, I couldn't find the deleted torrent I was looking for. [ sp8234_out of hand ]

      Being on the to-do list is good.  However . . . .

    • Suggestion: File Obituaries

      Every now and again, torrents that I've downloaded from here (and ones that I am seeding) disappear from the tracker.  I'm the curious type and I always wonder why they disappeared.  My suggestion is to provide a thread in the forum to track these deleted torrents and to provide notice as to why they were removed.  I'd also like to see a feature where those who downloaded either a damaged or virus-infected file could be notified of the danger.  Possible ?

      This will not be the first disgruntled member I've witnessed.  I won't call it a 'gay thing' because I've seen the same emotional outburst on non-sexual and str8 porn sites as well.  There's a bit of Bette Davis in all of us.  I speak from personal experience.

    • RE: Monitoring BAD Uploaders

      @Spintendo:

      @RaveRocks:

      BAD Uploaders include those who take a week to complete an upload.

      I would think that anyone who invests an entire week of time into a project that does not come to fruition could be more idealistically described as at least dedicated in spirit, if not arguably incompetent however.   ???
      Is there no E for effort given on your 'bad uploader' list?

      @RaveRocks:

      by allowing uploaders to hide behind the (antonymous) label means the rest of us can't avoid their future attempts to upload.

      At the bottom of every torrent page is a button marked SEND A MESSAGE. When clicked, you find that your problem with user anonymity is irrelevant.

      :blind:

      If we're talking about a major collection that involves several gigabytes, I am thrilled to wait a week or more!  But when the file is in the 1gig or less size, I expect a three day or less upload time.  If an uploader is unable to upload a file that size (1 gig or less) in 3 days or less, they are doing something terribly wrong and/or they just don't care.  If they want a file uploaded, my advice to them is to snuggle up to one of the many uploader champs around and send them the file via a service like yousendit.  Most of the offenders recently are anonymous so they are obviously not looking for fame so why should they care.  There should be a way for a person in this predicament to receive a seed bonus for the transaction even if they did not physically share the file.

    • Monitoring BAD Uploaders

      BAD Uploaders include those who do not complete their uploads as per the rules.  BAD Uploaders include those who take a week to complete an upload.  BAD Uploaders include those who download a file from another torrent site and then upload it here, but then don't complete it.

      Sorry for the rant.  I've noticed a few uploads recently that were never completed and the circumstances never explained.  I understand broken internet connections and ISP problems and the like.  BUT by allowing uploaders to hide behind the (antonymous) label means the rest of us can't avoid their future attempts to upload.  If you (staff) know who these members are, would you please prevent them from uploading anything in the future?  PLEASE.  They waste our time and bandwidth.

    • Suggestions to Newbies: Getting off on the right foot

      This topic would make a good 'sticky'.

      Choose your first few files carefully! ! !

      As your first downloads, do NOT under any circumstances download a file that has only 1 or 2 seeders and no other downloaders.  Only after you have a decent ratio should you be looking at large files and files with 1 or 2 seeders and no other downloaders.  Until then, choose popular files only.  This is really the best for you in the long run.

      As a first download, make sure you pick a file that is small (under 500 MB) that has lots of other downloaders.  After you have finished downloading the file, make sure you leave your Bit Torrent client open until you have uploaded MORE than you downloaded.  Try to keep an upload ratio per file at 1.1  (110%) and build up a bit of a buffer, sort of like bits in the bank for future use.

      Make sure you are connectable.

      If you only do one thing on this list, make sure that you have properly installed your Bit Torrent client on your home network and provide it with information of an open port.  This is a multiple step process that is not really an option.  If you do not forward a port (telling your router/modem which port it should open for you), many other members of the swarm (other downloaders) will not be able to connect to you and request packets from you.  The result of this will be a less than good ratio and you will end up loosing your download privileges.  I repeat, this is really not an option, if you are serious about being a member of our website.
