Ok, so you don't read any of your links.  That explains why you have no idea what I'm talking about.

Lets just say that I know things about Apple that I shouldn't know because I used to date (and am still good friends with) an Apple employee who spends a lot of their time in their software end of things. It's kind of sad to say, but Apple will eventually attempt to force you into upgrading your phone. I've seen it countless times now.

They're Wedgie-proof in general unless it's incredibly deliberate. Takes a lot of force to break the straps tho.
