Homophobic countries can and will use any kind of law available to get their way.
A lot of them do have laws on immorality which they use on gays.
I think also in Egypt such laws are used for gays.

Also, I'm told that some states within the US still have sodomy laws.
Laws applicable on sodomy / assfucking between straight people as well as gays.
They are almost never used but still in existence and come in handy for police now and then!

1: on the top of the church tower of my home village. It is a big old tower, more then 500 years old, 42 meters /  138 feet high and without a spire.
    Very intimate and private because surrounded by a 1.40 stone fence. We didn't make a lot of noise though! 
2: of course in the commuter train after a late shift from work, Schiphol Airport, to home. An old model train with separate coupes. He stood in the door of the

I'm from Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
We used to have a very rich, liberated and open gay culture with lots of meeting places and gay events.
As gay liberation advanced in other countries the gay scene of Amsterdam got smaller and by time even boring.

I wonder, how it is in Bulgaria.
Do you have gay bars in the bigger cities?
I only speak English as second language, is that a problem?
