RE: Have you ever met some muslims who come out?
I'm a muslim and I had tried to came out .. The result is terrifying and luckily I managed to reduce the catastrophe and out of the radar (bullies). What have I learned ?… In a muslim country like Moderate Malaysia, you don't have to shout that you're a gay. Just relax.. no one bother if two men live together. Just don't cross dress and do public display affection (PDA). I know people get satisfaction for being able to express them selves but.. this population will never accept "sexuality is not a choice".
That's the problem with those 'olier-than-thou, condemning the gays but seek for lesbian porn smh ::)
As for my experience, I expose myself indirectly to my colleagues, you know… those typical gay stereotypes but never publicly said that I'm gay. Not trying to be narcissistic, but I am quite good looking (as most of gays too), thus by indirectly exposing myself like that, I don't have to deal with girls who are seeking a chance for a relationship should I didn't expose myself
And so far so good.

RE: Have you ever met some muslims who come out?
Hey there! Ex-Muslim (now atheist) here living in SE Asian country where apostasy is illegal and you will be sent to brainwash camp should you renounce your Muslim faith publicly. Here the Malays are forced to be Muslims and no, you CANNOT change your religion no matter what even though you are not practicing it (thus most of them fled the country…)
Problem with Islam is that there are a lot of extremists out there, you should watch what ISIS did with gays... they threw them from tall building! Even the so-called moderates mostly not really moderate at all, you will never see them condemning what ISIS did with gays, heck some of them even support that. Blame the brainwashing since kids tho...
So yeah... I guess I will remain in closet (only come out to my close friends) for my safety...

Any Malaysian?
Hi there!
Well tbh I'm not new in GT.ru (joined Jan 2014), but rarely went through the Forum section (lack of in-site advertising maybe?)
Just wondering if there are any users from Malaysia here

RE: Best android Torrent app?
Hey
Have you tried Flud? IMO it is the best Android client, some perks over uTorrent are
1. Less obstrusive ads (banner only)
2. You can enable sequential download (tho not recommended)
3. Can prioritize downloads easily
4. Tons of other functions
5. Nice design compared to uTorrent -
RE: HIV positive immigration
I know right, they keep making fun of the Canadians and the Europeans but IMO they just envied the privileges of living there ::)

RE: Industry lobby on HIV search for Cure
Yes a44425, but you're overlooking one critical thing…. There's more than just the $3000 - $4000 monthly price for the cost of meds to take into account. In my case for example, while the meds have been able to keep me undetectable, there are also side effects that have to be considered. For some people, the meds can cause liver and kidney problems, or in my case, can cause cholesterol levels to sky rocket. It kind of makes you wonder where the minds of the big pharma companies really are. I'm just lucky that Triumeq has come out, which doesn't seem to come with the rather "shitty" side effects that the Truvada once did for me.
Also, despite the R&D having been long ago paid for with such meds, the big pharma companies still have not lowered their prices. One can only conclude that this is due to corporate greed, because they know full well that we're either bound to their drugs for life or we die..... As a general rule though, yes, the meds do work. The only question one must ask themselves with the meds is are the side effects worth it?
Currently my friend is taking Lami/Zido + Efavirenz, threw up almost everyday as the side effect of Efavirenz (not to mention those f*cking vivid dreams until he woke up in the middle of the night with tachycardia and chest pain due to the dream), went to see the doc to change to Nevirapine, however been told by him that in the short run yes, he will feel good, no more Efavirenz-induced CNS disturbances but in long term Nevirapine is very hepatotoxic. Final decision is to reduce the dosage to 400mg (before was 600mg), feeling much better but still he had to sacrifice his nightlife or else will puke and light-headed if he do not go to sleep after taking it.
Are the side effects worth it? He said yes, he would rather sacrifice his nightlife than indirectly killing himself by not taking HAART. He's been undetectable and feeling quite positive about it. Nevertheless, there's that tiny piece of himself who keep feeling down and regretting about his current condition, here in our country, people really have stigma to the PLHIVs and this is not helping… ???

RE: HIV positive immigration
It's quite interesting to see the European pricing, especially since the cost of the meds across the pond in North America is stifling by comparison to say the least. As a general rule, any regime within North America will cost you at least a good $3000 per month just for those meds alone, much less any of the meds that you may need to take for their side-effects.
That is why he chose to migrate to EU. It is basically better in most of the things there from healthcare, education system and the list goes on. Besides, the current gun laws in the US really creep both of us out. It really makes me wonder also how do the US citizens survive with that high cost of living especially the healthcare :afr: :afr:
