2001 Frailty - Dad Meiks
Now that you've mentioned this film, I love the twist of this story so called "The Hands of God". This is the first directorial job of Bill Paxton

RE: Oscars 2017
I think this is the 5th time that SAG Awards and Oscars doesn't agree on their Best Actor Category, usually winners of SAG awards also wins in Oscars' acting categories (movies)

RE: Oscars 2017
Oscars announced the winners
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/89th_Academy_Awards
And deja vu, Just like in Miss Universe 2015, when Steve Harvey announces the wrong winner, Oscars presenter, Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway announces La La Land as Best Picture whereas it should be Moonlight as the rightful winner. They immediately corrected it.

RE: Upped by….
You just said you wouldn't reveal your nickname and I just can't seem to understand why revealing my nickname is "dangerous" in any way (it's not my real name so I just don't understand how is this any kind of a privacy problem)?
Could you please explain this to me cause I'd really really like to know all about it and to be able to make my username to be seen by everyone?
As was explained to you by Mod Junior in at least 3 topics you have posted, that Admin decided this few years back (long before you and I became members of this site) for user safety.

RE: Gay intergenerational film with Armie Hammer
Even Oscars are partial to sad endings Gay Themed Film, I think only Moonlight (a mild happy ending) and The Kids are Alright are the 2 exceptions. Take for example the following nominated gay themed films in Oscars
The Imitation Games 2014
Dallas Buyers Club 2013
Milk 2008
Brokeback Mountain 2005
Capote 2005
The Crying Game 1992 -
RE: Post the last movie you've seen and how you rate it
Secret of State (Secret Défense) 2008
Biological warfare of terrorist group against France. I like the build up of the story of how individuals makes certain decision that will affect the nation's safety. Of how a prison rape scene can serve its purpose.

RE: Post the last movie you've seen and how you rate it
The last I saw was some shorts
1. Ratas (2012)
Gave it 6/10.
Comedy horror and I like it. Its always fun to see a man and a girl fighting over a man lol2. 1992 (2016)
7/10.
Mostly I like the story. The father is awesome.3. Tonight It's You (2016)
7/10
Actually its really hard to find a good real horror gay themed. This one nearly freaks me out. Love it and recommended. Though the story probably not that original but I hope there is a long feature if this short.Totally agree with you with these three short films
In Ratas, I wished that they should have killed the man responsible for their quarrel
With Tonight It's You, I hope they make a full length version of this without ruining the essence of the short film.

I saw The Founder and Manchester By The Sea. Both were fantastic films.
How would you rate the 2 films individually?

RE: Post the last movie you've seen and how you rate it
About a High School filmmaker, Matt (Adam David aka Adam Perez of the gay themed film The Stranger in Us) who travel again to LA to confront the murderer of his girlfriend, but what he found out is more than what he hope.
This film is either you will find boring or liking it. Personally I like this film.

The 9th Life of Louis Drax 2016
Sometimes, beauty is only skin deep. Every man, married or single have fallen into a trap that a very beautiful woman can do no wrong. Halfway of the story, you can guess that the mother (Sarah Gadon) is not what she tells the Doctor (Jamie Dornan)

This Marco Berger movie could have been good if not for those unnecessary prolonged scene. "Hawaii" is a much better Marco Berger film.
