    • RE: Still trust Fauci on Vaccines, after he lied about experimentation in the lab?

I don't have any problem with the vaccines. I think they are perfectly safe (the mRNA ones are the safest and most effective vaccines in the history of mankind - strictly going by the numbers and data we have)

I think the the issue with Fauci is he's been wrong repeatedly, and instead owning up to it, he brushes it off or claims he was always right. He also fell in love very quickly with his national image and media spotlight. It's obvious the guy loves himself a little too much, and he's all too willing to be a tool of the media nutcases if it furthers his national profile.

    • RE: I don't think making gay marriage legal should be so important to us

I agree with this 100% - the key issue is no discrimination, by forcing people to accept things and redefine terminology, we're only preventing the former from happening.

    • RE: Syrian Crisis

I don't agree with you that the rebels "hired" an army of Al Queda.  I think they rather saw an opportunity - the instability in Syria - and are taking advantage of it.  What started as a real drive for change internally in Syria as sadly now been co-opted into an Islamist revolution against the "secular" Assad.    The FSA might have originally thought the more people fighting against Assad the better, I think they've now been swallowed up into an Islamist movement.

Basically I agree with you it's a sad story, but it's hardly a new one.  I think the world has grown tired of Arabs slaughtering each other, which seems to be a regular occurrence.  For that reason and others, no one will get involved, and will instead let the country totally fall apart.  One could argue it already has.    For other countries in the area, like Israel, Saudi Arabia, etc - it's better these people waste their ammo on each other than on them.  So there will always be pressure to "butt out."

War has always, always taken its toll on civilians and this will be no different.  If it were me, I'd be doing whatever I could to GTFO.
