@blablarg18 I haven't seen any real evidence. Nor has the Congressional committee. So........I guess it doesn't exist.
@djvoxx I see you took Putin's masterclass in Ukraine history....lol

Proof please.
@blablarg18 You are confusing "woke" with "affirmative action." They are not the same thing. One is an awareness of inequality and injustice (all injustice, not just racial), and the other is an attempt to level the playing field in an unequal environment.
Having said what you said about not being a racist, I would say you were somewhat "woke". However, it is strange that you focused on the fact that the person in the cartoon was white; and, therefore, assumed that it was anti-white, when in fact race has nothing to do with. It's an attempt to poke fun at all of us who attack things we do not understand.
In my own case, I really do not understand "queer," "gender-fluid" or a lot of other terms that people wish to use. But rather than attack them (as I've seen done on this forum many times), I just respect their right to do what they want and call themselves what they want because, frankly, it doesn't affect me and it's none of my god-damned business.
At least that is how this "woke-tard" sees it. I am still hoping that day you find it in your humanist heart to stop disparaging people.
@raphjd Were you there?
If some cherry-picked videos show extreme acts of violence and some cherry-picked videos do not, then any reasoned mind (and EYE) can see that extreme acts of violence occurred on that day.
@raphjd You mean Tucker's cherry-picked videos? Come on....we've all seen the videos. We saw it happening in real time; we've heard testimony from the police that were there. Whatever.....
@raphjd According to the "newspaper" that said 1/6 was a false flag operation orchestrated by Antifa (in addition to all the other Trump conspiracy theories).
@blablarg18 I agree with you on the Gaza situation, surprisingly.
But as for Ukraine, when you say they are the "same" as the Russians, well that is Putin's excuse, but it's obviously not how the Ukrainians feel. And who are you to tell people how they should live? Again, I encourage you to come and speak to some actual Ukrainians. Tell them they are Russians and that they should accept Putin's rule. And it doesn't matter what their historical cultural ties are. Ukrainians today want to live in a liberal European democracy. Putin has dragged Russia backwards to the totalitarianism of the past. Ukraine is not perfect by any means, but they know where they want to be in the future; and that is with Brussels not the Kremlin. And that is their right to decide.
I realize that you are, it seems, somewhat of a pacifist, and I do admire that. But non-intervention is not what most Europeans see as the smart move right now. Putin has made his intentions based on his fucked-up worldview clear.
And as a pacifist, I would assume you also consider yourself a humanist. And yet you are so nasty and hateful to people who disagree with you. I mean, really hateful hurling ridiculous insults and accusations. How does that square?
@blablarg18 said in How to be pro-Ukraine - for real:
Libs around here, are not. They often act jealous of me.
I think you mean "envious." Regardless, trust we are not. You have a rudimentary understanding of the situation clouded by Putin propaganda. I encourage you to visit Ukraine or Poland or the Baltics and talk to people. Tell them what you think should be done and see how many agree with you.

For sure - You defend
Victoria Nuland
I don't know who she is. I just thought it was telling that you used a picture of her as an older (and I am assuming, in your mind, uglier) version of herself to prove an unrelated point.
Azov Nazis
Absolutely not. Your problem is you buy into Putin's propaganda.
Weapons companies - of both sides
Nope.

I didn't realize that "English professor" was the name given to "expert in everything"
It doesn't. That is why I try not to argue about things I do not know or care about. Unlike your buddy blabla who needs to learn that it is better to remain silent and appear stupid than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
@raphjd said in Victoria Nuland: Before & After:
Typical liberal bullshit.
Rather a "woke" observation.
@blablarg18 said in Libs in 2024 still think they fight Putin - unbelievable:
Switching definitions - since you blew it so badly, with first
I didn't change the definition. I just chose one that I thought, given your linguistic limitations, would be easier for you to understand.
Let me try this: if one insults another, and he/she has the same fault, that is the pot calling the kettle black because they are both black. If one insults another and they are not both "black," that is just an insult. And there is no need for an idiom.
Capisce?
@blablarg18
Please do explain the subjunctive to us since you have it confused with modals of probability.
Since you unable to understand English grammar, let's go with Cambridge.
the pot calling the kettle black
idiom
something you say that means people should not criticize someone else for a fault that they have themselves.
You are an idiot. Truly. I've failed students smarter than you.
@blablarg18 said in Victoria Nuland: Before & After:
@jaroonn We need update, from Ukraine front, where you volunteered bravely - right? right? - to do this person's bidding.
And how is your crusade going? Spoken to any heads of government? Enacted any legislation? Or are you still just anger typing in your mother's basement?
Quite the ageist, misogynistic post by the way. Expected.
@blablarg18 Ok. So I am an English professor, and I'm guessing (I hope) that English is not your first language. But don't take my word for it:
From the Oxford Dictionary:
"the pot calling the kettle black"
used to convey that the criticisms a person is aiming at someone else could equally well apply to themselves.
"the Council is complaining that the post office is slow at communication—talk about pot calling the kettle black!"
Enjoy that clown mask. It suits you to a tee.
@blablarg18 said in Estonia goes openly pro-German & pro-Nazi:
I have a consistent anti-Nazi stand....... ...... & you're jealous
You have Liberal Derangement Syndrome and are, therefore, unable to discuss anything logically.
I do, however, enjoy sharing your "history lessons" with fellow academics (liberal and conservative) from time to time. They are good for a laugh.
@blablarg18 said in Libs in 2024 still think they fight Putin - unbelievable:
he's Soooooooo far beyond pot - kettle - black
You do realize that is an admission of guilt, right? lol
@blablarg18 The was in Ukraine is only a liberal vs conservative issue in the minds of the American far-right. There are many conservatives in the US and even more (most) in Europe who are intelligent enough to see what is really happening. Your people's need to politicize and polarize everything is beyond absurd.
