Don't come out because someone is pressuring you to come out
Don't bring your boyfriend home because your parents might start blaming him for corrupting you
Don't do anything that will get you kicked out until you have a job and financial stability
Don't be afraid of what people might say
Don't ever think that what you're doing or saying is wrong because you are who you are.

Let's just get rid of all the labels. If you feel an attraction to someone and they feel the same way… why not? There is no need to overthink it too much. Now in matters of love that becomes different.

I came out to my friends at 20… but my parents don't know yet

I had a 12 year old confide in me. Now he and his boyfriend spend a lot of time with me and we watch classic movies and talk about stuff that they couldn't talk about to others. I don't want them to go through the same trouble I went through.

I haven't told my parents because I want to financially independent before anything happens and they want nothing to do with me.

I would because where I'm from gay people face persecution all the time.
