Since I have a steady flow of bonus points accruing  I like the idea of giving points every time I click to download something.  I know if I had more time and expertise I could probably give back to the network more than I do.  Giving points is an easy thing to do and I can avoid feeling useless.
Are there any reasons why one would not want to do so?  My question is:  how do you know how many to give.  So far the only "rule of thumb" I can think of is - don't exhaust them.  That way you can keep giving them.

Oh Raphid you are soooo right!  I have resented the "secretly female" characterization and all the biases and stereotyping that goes with it.  It is in my view an oppression that has been foisted upon us for so long. Unfortunately too many of us have cooperated with this and magnified that oppression to an immense degree. I had hoped the coming to light of the phenomenon of transexualism would do much more to dispel that oppression than it has.

A big part of the boredom stems from my being 57 years of age and having watched what must be thousands of films that are structured on that SAME formula.  My eyeballs are rolling again.

Did you say that DVD-r discs deteriorate and become unusable in about 2 years time?  I did not know this.

I am assuming that downloaded files must remain in the library ( I use uTorrent) to remain available to seed.
As time goes on sooner or later my hard drive is going to reach its capacity.  I know I'll have to "thin out" my files and transfer to other media. Even if I added new and larger drives to my system I would still eventually
come to the same situation.  Is there any sort of strategy to follow that would handle this issue that is most helpful to the network?

PS: To my big brother - are you not 58 yrs young?
