On the 3ds is the only way to go.
I generally only play every second or third original pokemon game.
I'm really against the remakes of pokemon (not that they aren't great) but I like my childhood memories to be kept exactly as they were.
I disagree.
While sure, it was inferior to the original, the dlc gave us great insight into Ellie's character and her whole back story.
I think of Left Behind as rather a side dish. Not completely necessary, but still nice to have.
The Professor Layton series is also pretty good for the puzzle-fans out there, although they are quite a niche game.
