Sorry to bother you again, mgr, but something really weird is going on. The glitch/bug must be more elaborate and complex than you may think. After you fixed my user class to Newbie, I made two more posts and was demoted to Semi-Newbie!! ???
Well, you wanted more examples of other cases. I don't think I should mention any specific user names, it feels like ratting on a fellow user, but I assure you there are several users with lower or higher user class than they should have. There's even a case of someone who has a yellow star and only 3 posts, and has ascended to Newbie! :-
Back to me, I find my own very special case of automated descension really funny! :rotfl: Can you please fix it again, so that I'm a happy Newbie?
:lolp:

Rugby player Ben Cohen #1
Ben Cohen is sexy, masculine, furry, and athletic - a "yummylicious" combination of bear, hunk, and jock! He's British and a former rugby union player.
Born on September 14, 1978 in Northampton, England, he began his professional career with Northampton Saints in 1996. In 2007, he moved to France to represent Brive before returning to England two years later to join Sale Sharks. He also played for England's national team from 2000 to 2006. In May 2011, he retired from professional rugby.
Having been a gay rights advocate for many years, he created the Ben Cohen StandUp Foundation to combat homophobia, gay-bashing, and bullying in general. He's now a dedicated activist on that task.
He's also straight, happily married, and father of twin daughters born in 2008.
Enjoy these pics!:lovp:

RE: Uploads Go Live Immediately for Everbody (Experimetal)
I have many concerns about this. New uploads going live immediately without having been checked by staff, really gives the opportunity for a number of infractions:
1) malware (viruses, trojans, worms, spyware, adware, etc.)
2) duplicates
3) corrupted /non-working/fake videos [as a matter of fact, I've been victim of such a case - I downloaded a corrupted/non-working video, I reported it and the video was deleted, but the download still registered and affected my ratio]
4) videos from banned studios
5) videos with underage "actors"
6) videos with banned material (bestiality, necrophilia, etc.)
7) videos under the wrong category (eg. a themed movie placed in the Hunks category)I understand that GT.ru's staff members have a lot of things to do and I appreciate their hard work. I also understand that this new procedure is experimental. But even if the violators are warned or banned, some users are about to fall victims. I believe that in order to protect the users and the reputation of this site, all uploads should be checked for violations before they go live.
I have great respect for this site and its staff, and confidence that my concerns will be answered in the most efficient way.

RE: Disc: Ascending user class in the Forum.
I guess the glitch in the system is still present.
I have a yellow star and more than 2 posts, and I'm still a Lurker.
Can you please fix my case too?
Thank you in advance. -
RE: Straight/Bi Section
@AndyMorrow33
At first I was sceptical about the addition of exclusively straight porn material (but not of bisexual porn). Because I hadn't made up my mind, I didn't rush to express any opinion on the matter. As I was thinking it through, your post came and set things "straight" (pun intended)! Your paradigm is excellent, and your answer is both eloquent and substantiated. It's all clear now, at least in my mind. Straight porn still isn't my thing, but it doesn't have to be. It may be other users' thing, and we should all respect that.
Well done, Andy!

RE: Themed movies category deletion
First, I want to say that I'm very glad all categories will be preserved - with some restrictions of course. I'd like to thank tom, but I don't want to bother him. I just hope he reads this. I'd also like to thank all the GT.ru's staff for all the hard work.
All the new restrictions concerning material from big production companies or TV networks makes perfect sense. We don't want to attract the attention of studios that are willing to engage into lawsuits about copyrights. We all want to keep this site safe and secure. For the same reason, I welcome the new restrictions in the Appz Category.
But I would like to draw your attention to something that seems like a contradiction to me. The following is an exact quote from the revised rules:
"All submitted material must have GAY THEMED CONTENT or MALE PHYSIQUE VOYEURISM. Gay-interest, an openly gay actor or minor gay characters are insufficient to meet this requirement. Do NOT upload any gay-themed movies that are released or produced by and for mainstream cinema / TV studios. Examples of voyeuristic material would include bodybuilding, wrestling and underwear/swimwear."
So, we exclude material with gay interest or an openly gay actor or minor gay characters because they're insufficient (not gay enough), but at the same time we are about to include bisexual categories, and we allow material with bodybuilders, wrestlers and underwear/swimwear models even if they are straight. That seems rather contradictory. Is this gay-sufficient material?Personally, I have no objection with the inclusion of bisexual categories (I'm glad you decided not to include exclusively straight porn) or with male physique voyeurism. On the contrary, I welcome your point of view to consider them gay-sufficient material. I just wish you applied the same rules to gay-interest/gay actors/gay characters material, and consider them gay sufficient. No double standard.
Respectfully,

RE: Music/TV & Movie categories deletion
Thangcuoi, I see the point you're trying to make. But as I can see in your original post, you also object to the idea of GT.ru being transformed into an exclusively porn site. Isn't that right?
And I believe more people should express their opinion on that topic, besause all users will be affected if such a decision is unfortunately made. Perhaps there should be a poll on that subject. -
RE: Music/TV & Movie categories deletion
I read today the same announcement on your front page. Of course I had already noticed the deletion of the Music Category. So, allow me to share some thoughts with you on that topic.
First, I want to say that I totally agree with the deletion of the Music Category. It didn't make much sense to me - music cannot be gay or straight.
In your FAQs page, under the question "What kind of torrent should I upload?" you clearly state: "Anything gay-related". Movies, TV series, webseries, books, magazines, cartoons/anime, and comics/manga can be gay-related, and I'm glad you have such material apart from porn. If you decide to delete the categories that contain such material, you automatically exclude yourselves from anything gay-related and you limit yourselves to porn. Porn is great, but you can find porn anywhere. If you remove those categories, you become just another one of millions porn sites. And you'll disappoint a lot of your users. Besides, there's material on this site you can hardly find anywhere else.
In addition, the reason you mention about considering the deletion of those categories, really confuses me. Why is it safe for the site and the users if the uploads/downloads are of porn movies, porn clips and porn pics, and why is it unsafe if it's movies, TV episodes or manga?
As far as the Appz Category is concerned, it's clearly a non gay-related category, but it's a useful tool. I'd prefer if you kept it.
The way I see it, the current form of this site is what differentiates it from so many other sites. If you limit yourselves to porn, you stop being unique and you'll alienate a great portion of your users. Therefore I strongly object to any further deletion of categories.
Respectfully,
Dax
