I understand the Ratio and see my Download Buffer is in the multi TB range my question is how and when does the Buffer increase?

@hornydude4sx I too am very guilty of such actions so thank you very much for pointing this out. I recently buzzed thru close to a ratio of 2 just to "help out" with those torrents that only had one seeder or nobody actively downloading it. So now that my ratio is below one its back to the drawing board to rebuild however its so much EASIER the 2nd time around. Ofc others are benefiting bc there is now a seeder (me) doing it 24/7 a win/win for us all!

@lololulu19 what u posted is a lesson learned and eventually all will either encounter it or learn from it. I just thought to myself I love 1000+ piece jigsaw puzzles why not apply it to my computer experience. We all have the same goal (100% of the file) so if we all do our part a SEED a piece we Will get there!

Comment if you have tried the above method and/or add a link to the file that you are sharing a "Piece of the puzzle" so others may download a "Piece of the puzzle" and 2gether we can all have 100% of the file.

@1844390-0 use whatever u are currently using like utorrent and download the torrent but before accepting all the files to be downloaded uncheck everything. Then download either the smallest or largest that you have the space for even if its only ONE FILE together with others downloading the remainder we can get 100% of that file the key is to SEED the PIECE or pcs that you have 100% of. - hope this helps

@eobox91103 thanks for that "mouseover" info. this is very nice gaytorrent trivia and useful information. Yes we seem like a slacker in the dept however its a nice encouragement factor to be known.

if you have exhausted all your known methods to increase your RATIO try this . . . choose a Popular but extremely large torrent then download the torrent. Wait before you say I don't have enough space for all that UNSELECT EVERYTHING. Then select preferrably they LARGEST that YOU have the space for however this also works for the SMALLEST file that you have the space for. The idea here is like a huge JIGSAW PUZZLE everyone who downloads will have 100% of a piece of the file and they will be SEEDING 2gether we can have 100% of any torrent using this method - Good Luck!

This user has more than 200+ torrents uploaded and I SEED everything I download 24/7.

Many viewers and users will Hit It & Quit It after they download any torrent.

Its amazing how many of my own torrents I would be the only SEEDER and thus get 100% of the traffic when that user cums along and wants my seed.

In English . . . if U don't SEED your own torrents why should the next user?

48 hrs ago I uploaded my 100% copy on multiple machines which seems to help I awoke to discover there are now 19 of us in the swarm.

@tnar I never consider the port forwarding rules bc I never consider this a "problem" I have utorrent and seeding on all my desktops and laptops its a home network but beyond that I only noticed one machine gets faster service than the others. The others "eventually" get it or able to seed I was just "curious" about the observation.

I have several machines uploading and downloading near each other with no issues . . . my question is this I have observed one particular location anything uploaded or downloaded to it receives IMMEDIATE attn. Meaning everyone "sees" it to download/upload from it my ratio goes up etc. In contrast the same torrent on the machine downloaded at the same time on the machine next to it or across the room can take hours or days for it to be seen or recognized. Anyone else notice this on their personal setup?

Stating The Obvious with this post . . . STOP downloading and continuing to SEED SEED SEED. Yours truly (as well as countless others) are guilty of this. We can't resist the daily offers on the menu (like being hungry). My current ration is Good but it used to be GREAT then I began download 100gb or more files and slowly watched that GREAT become good. Now 100gb may not be U however SEEDING WILL INCREASE YOUR RATIO!

For those still looking for a way to improve/increase your ratio status - Seed Dead or low leeched torrents. I have a file that I don't care about not getting any "credit" for because its not longer listed. However many people are thankful that I am still seeding it yrs later and now others are seeding it to the tune of 2TB and rising. You might have only been able to receive 3/4 of the torrent before it "disappeared" but don't delete it from your drive somebody somewhere has that 1/4 you need. - Good Luck!

@frostycab thanks for your reply I was thinkin the same thing. I am going to continue to seed it forever bc its on my drive and plenty of folks are "after" it apparently since it was so large they probably started it then it was removed. I don't care in this case of getting credit for it its my give back plus I'm curious to see how high this will go its already almost at the 2tb stage.

@alrey that's a beginner TRAP we have all fallen for like a mouse to a trap with cheese in it. This RATIO forum should be required reading for everyone's first 30 days. Instead we focus on download NOW and thus we fall into RATIO JAIL.

@luc191 if you have your original downloaded torrent run it bc I and sometimes other seed forever and perhaps it will be picked up regardless if its been removed.
