      Zuckerberg has already set up his estate so that most of his fortune will be given away when he dies.  A Trump would never do that….

      So basically, fuck those that need help now.

      I see how that's moral.  [/end sarcasm]

      Zuckerberg has literally changed the world for the better.  A Trump will never be able to say that.    How much is Trump giving away when he dies?

      AH, he's god because he hates free speech.  ok.  :blink:

      Did you know he tried, and mostly succeeded, in fucking over the real inventors of FB?

      Bill Gates did a similar thing with DOS.

      Mark Zuckerberg has stated that his biggest regret was to ever make Facebook "open" to begin with.  He's ended that.  Facebook was created by two identical twins and Zuckerberg - a 3 way partnership.  Zuckerberg conned, lied, and deceived the twins about the value of the company, and bought out their 2/3 of the company for $50 million.  6 months later, the company was valued at $6 billion - which is over 100 times more than he gave those twins!  A 10,000% profit in 6 months isn't bad!

      Bill Gates bought / plagiarized DOS from IBM for $50,000    Gates has been a lifelong crook and conman.  He is allowed to  have a monopoly because he puts backdoors into Microsoft Windows which is running on most computers worldwide.. giving the US access to those computers.

      Gates doesn't have a monopoly.  There are plenty of competitors to MS products.  Ever heard of Apple or Google?

      @raphjd:

      When everyone has health cover for routine things, they (especially women) run to them every time they get the sniffles, of course waiting times are going to be extremely long.  When people have to pay for their routine care, they aren't as eager to run to the GP for the sniffles.

      On the flip side of that if people wait to go to the doctor they may not go until they are really sick and it's too late to address their problem.  There are other ways to deal with issues like that though.  In the US there are programs that allow paramedics to make routine house calls.  They can treat certain ailments and make a determination as to whether the patient actually needs to see a doctor.

      https://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/08/health/older-patients-community-paramedics.html

      Payers are also allowing nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other mid level practitioners to see patients instead of seeing a doctor.  The reason this isn't more common is because not all insurers allow it.

      Oh, so you are advocating an NHS system where you end up with permanent nerve damage in both hands because the NHS (at the time) paid GPs not to refer patients to keep waiting times down.

      Long wait times are a problem in the US too.

      @raphjd:

      Or to nearly kill people because GPs can't think out of the box.

      Doctors don't think at all here.  They are only allowed to do what the insurers allow them to do.

      @raphjd:

      Or that you MUST have private insurance so you can get an immediate appointment with a specialist.  If you had to wait to see an NHS specialist, you'd be dead for about 6 months because your appointment.

      My state makes this practice illegal.

      @raphjd:

      Or that they wouldn't prescribe appropriate pain killers knowing that you are doing serious harm to yourself by using massive doses of OTC drugs in an attempt to get a tiny bit of pain relief.

      The same problem exists in the US.  We have a serious opioid problem caused in part by doctors prescribing too many pain killers.

      @raphjd:

      Or a system where it's virtually impossible to sue for malpractice, even in the most blatant cases.

      This is a conservative idea.  The state of Texas recently put caps on malpractive lawsuits.

      Adam, we want HSAs. We don't want Obamacare. That's it. It's simple.

      What good is an HSA if you don't know what anything costs?

      Even if you did know what things cost I still don't see how an HSA is much good.  Last year I had a gallbladder infection.  I spent 15 days in the hospital.  I have no idea what the bill was but it was certainly a lot more than I ever would have been able to save in an HSA.  Even if I did have enough it would be totally depleted at this point and I would have to start over.  What if I got sick again?  My HSA has $0 in it!

      It doesn't surprise me that your red reputation line is growing faster than any other moonbat on this site.

      It does surprise me that a person who gets a thumbs down on almost every one of his posts can possibly have a high reputation.  It's almost as if you have multiple accounts or something.

      @Frederick:

      Gay people happen to be more intelligent than the general population, and in most cases more tolerant.

      I guess you are the exception.

      Most women don't want to dress this way.  They have to because it's good for ratings and because the men in charge often force them to.  A former local TV anchor just wrote a column about this.

      http://www.bostonherald.com/news/columnists/2017/08/heather_unruh_tv_journalist_decries_sexiness_before_skill_trend

      She doesn't mention any of this but it was very clear what happened to her last year.  She was the lead anchor of her station and had been for many years.  She anchored the evening newscast once anchored by the legendary Chet Curtis and Natalie Jacobson.  Then the station hired Maria Stephanos who is a legend in her own right and many would argue is "sexier" than Heather.  It didn't take long for Maria to be given all the great assignments and Heather  was literally left out in the freezing cold.  Maria was anchoring the coverage of the NH Primary inside while Heather was literally reporting from outside the building in zero degree weather.

      It's a tough business.  This was all happening at a time when Boston was about to get a sixth local news station.  Ratings are suffering for all of them now and it's time for some consolidation.

      Always amazed when these slow people think privately owned social media platforms are free speech zones. Do they never read the TOS?

      That's your answer to everything negative said about Facebook.

      Maybe you should try keeping on topic.

      Would you be butt hurt if I put you on mute?  I bet you would and you'd be screaming about free speech.

      I bet the two people who said they would vote for Zuckerberg are cowards and will not identify themselves.  So much for free speech!  They have it, and won't use it to expose what morons they are.  It's just like people who go burning crosses while wearing hoods to conceal their identities.  Meanwhile, when someone like me actually speaks up, Facebook silences me with no warning, no explanation, and no chance to appeal.  It USED to be that Facebook would silence someone for a few hours, then a day, then a few days,  then a week, etc.  That routine is over..  now they just shoot first, terminate the account, and don't bother to ask questions later.

      One of those Yes votes belongs to me.  If you don't want people to be anonymous why do you post an anonymous poll?  Clearly this is a conspiracy by the owners of this site to shut down free speech!!!  Just look at how many times YOU have been placed on warning in these forums.

      If you don't like the rules of Facebook you have a choice.  Close your account.  Go start your own social media site where you  can write the rules yourself.  That's the great thing about America.

      Actually.. Facebook is not privately owned.  It is a publicly traded company.
      Regardless of that, there are things called "laws" which must be adhered to whether or not a company is privately owned or not.

      And no.. only someone who is very weird spends hours reading over the TOS.
      In fact, there are two major issues with the TOS of Facebook.  For instance, in my case, the TOS changed considerably AFTER I had signed up.. making certain things about my account in violations of their NEW TOS.    Whose fault is that?  Sometime in 2013, Facebook was sued, and lost, and were forced to make changes to their TOS to be less restrictive.  However, someone didn't get the memo because they continue to apply the TOS rules that they were forced to change.. but still use.

      I find it fascinating that moonbats will stand on their heads to defend flagrant criminals such as Facebook and Hillary.

      Why do you support Zuckerberg?  You are on here constantly complaining about your multiple Facebook accounts (which in itself is a TOS violation).  Every Facebook account is just more money for Zuckyboy and Facebook.  Why do you keep supporting them?

      Facebook is a massive corporation. They have like 2 billion users! They need a lot of employees.

      Why are you Conservatives always trying to tear down rich white guys who earned their success? It seems you only like the one orange ones who were born with silver spoons in their mouth and wouldn't know a hard day's work if it sat on his lap (unless it was his daughter)

      By "freeloaders", I think he means the illegals who always go to the ER every time they get the sniffles because they know they won't have to pay for it.

      Actually the freeloaders are people like Frederick who claim not to need insurance and shouldn't be forced to buy it.  It's the very people who are against ObamaCare because the fact is they were very happy paying $0 into the system and getting substandard, inappropriate care for free.

      Well to be fair, I have no idea why anyone is polling Hillary's approval.  She is a nobody.  What the hell are people approving of?

      She lost the election twice.  I'm done with her.  She needs to go away.  I wish someone like Gavin Newsom would step up.

      You seem pleased that people who can't afford and don't want insurance are forced to pay for it.  That is twisted!

      It's those same people who Romney referred to as "freeloaders" who opt out of the system by not paying anything but then they use the emergency room anyway and force those costs onto YOU.

      You seem pleased to pay for people who choose not to be responsible and buy their own health coverage.  I'm tired of paying for freeloaders.  Pay for your own care.

      Maybe we should force everyone to buy car insurance too.  After all, it's not about need according to leftists.

      Why does my anti abortion Christian uncle have to subsidize abortions?    He's not against subsidizing preventatives like "the pill" and implants, but he is totally against paying for abortions.  In fact, my dad's entire side of the family is like this.

      Because that's how insurance works.  I have to subsidize a guy who drives his car 110 miles per hour for fun and for some asshole who builds his house in a flood zone.

      Once again, you are making the case for single payer.
