I remember having found several gifs of this session and a whole tumblr of the guy, but I can't find it anywhere anymore and can't remember the name, if someone could identify the big guy and even more if they cold help me find the full video I'd reallya appreciate it, thans in advance
"White" is an exclusion term. It's not about what you are but about what you're not. Culture is celebrated, not color. Nobody frowns on the celebration of Oktoberfest or St. Patrick's Day or Hanukka, those are all celebrations of different cultures and they're all white in color, however, for a lot of time the Jewish and the Irish were not considered "white" because they were consdiered ", "undersirable" and "inferior". That's what "white" has stood since many centuries ago. "white pride" means "Thank god I'm not one of those barbaric, undesirable non-white races, I am and always has been considered a person with rights"
Not all straight white males are proven dicks, however, straight white males have always had it the easiest and still do. The richest, most powerful people in America ar in its reat majority straight white males. Rock stars, movie stars, executives, politicians, they're mostly straight white males. Even in the gay "hierarchy" whites are on top, just check the most popular pornstars and you'll see what guys are looking for so it certainly makes things easier in the dating department. And don't get me started with all those people who are looking exclusively for "straight acting" guys and bisexuals. Becuase even gay men are looking for the closest they can get to a straight white male.
Yes, people of color are getting some bias, but the thing is that after centuries of discrimination, climbing the social ladder is extra hard. These ara people who have been excluded from positions of power, from prestigious schools, from convenient connections, they've been at a serious disadvantage for centuries. Even if the playing field is leveled now, they're starting the game with a losing score, and there's no easy way of making things fair, so sometimes it ends up unfair in the other directions. It isn't okay, but it's the product of a flawed attempt at fairness.
It's the same in media, all the big iconic characters are straight white males because they were created in a time where that was the only acceptable lead, Batman, Superman, Luke Skywalker, Indiana Jones, almost all of the Avengers. "it's not about race and gender" you might say "people of all races ans genders can identify with the characters regardless". But then they make female ghostbusters and people completely loses their shit. I met a guy who was huge Power Rangers fan, but didn't watch the movie because his favorite Ranger whas the blue one and they made him black. How's that for hate?
Think of all the actors who wish they could get a part as leads of their favorite things which are all getting rebooted lately, but hey can't because only straight white males get to be leads, only they get to be heroes, if anybody else is made one then it's "SJW bullshit" and it's automatically ruined.
You sound like the straight people who think us getting more rights is an attack on them. Who think that if we grow up being thaught that straight is normal and better and more desitable is okay, but if a kid finds out that we exist then it's "shoving our sexuality down their throats"
We don't hate straight white males, we just hate the pedestal they've been on for the last millenium or so, and we're tryng to demolish it, sorry if a pebble get is your eye in the process.
I'm getting fed up with the whole "Free speech meands white supremacists must be heard" shit. There's something called "The Freedom Paradox" It states that past a certain point, more freedom is less freedom, because you're allowing the strong the freedom to opress the weak, sort of like what happenes when you let the corporations abuse the citizens becaus of lack of regulations, or when organized crime takes over a city because law enforcement allows it. Yeah, technically there's less rules and this more freedom, but in practice it just causes oppresion. Well, this parados applies to tolerance too. Yes, technically it's hypocritical and from the left to try and silence any ideas, but the thing is that if they allow it to be spread as legitimate, they're allowing intolerance and prejudice to spread, tolerating intoleranceĀ creates more intolerance, not less, allowing hate to be spread is not the same as allowing ideas to be spread, and at a certain point you have to say "stop" and while I don't agree with some of the points chosen, I believe it's better than nothing.
And about safe spaces. Have you ever had to hide your sexuality at work or with certain family members? Because it's pretty shitty and stressful and it just feels wrong. Well, people can't hide their race, they can't hide their gender identity, they can't hide a lot of things that people judge them for. The ideal solution, of course, would be to stop prejudice, but that's not happening anytime soon, that's the point of safe spaces. The way you feel comfortable going to a gay bar where you can be totally honest about who you are without fear of being judged? All people deserve to feel that way once in a while and safe spaces provide that. Sure, they ARE a business (the same way a gay bar is a business) but that doesn't make them any less helpful and necessary.
I had never tried and and thought it was kinda icky, but then I got drunk and id it and had it done, it was absolutely anazing and now one of my favourite things to do and have done
Being gay is identifying yourself as gay, you don't have to do anything in perticular, and in the end only you now how you feel and which label, if any, you feel comfortable with. I have had romantic feelings for girls, I still call myself gay, 100% gay
You can watch do, and like whatever you want and call yourself whatever you want. Wanna watch gay porn and call yourself straight? Awesome, I acknowledge you as straight. Wanna have sex with guys and call yourself straight? cool. Wanna wear lingerie and a wig and have sex exclusively with guys and be the gang banged and suck ten dicks at a time while the other guys make out with each other and call all guys involved straight? As god as my witness, I will fully aknowledge your complete heterosexuality. Nobody can tell others who they are No, I don't think you're in denial, I don't think it's a phase, those are things for you to consider and accept or reject as you see fit. You do you and let the haters hate.
I love them in red and electric blue, it's sexy and flashy, and a guy with flashy underwear is usually confident and fun
This might earn me some flak, but I think I'm gonna take the school's side in this one.
Yes, of course, as has been pointed out to infinity in religious debates about homosexuality, Jesus was never explicitly against it and was always explicitly against judging and in favor of tolerance and acceptance. However, we aren't talking about Jesus or even Christinity in general, we are talking about catholicism, which holds (or at least the great majority of its adepts hold) that homosexuality is wrong, and that position would be thaught to the child, which would be very conflicting for the family. I imagine when the subject came up in the school it would be very confusing for the kid, and I'm pretty sure the mothers would then object to their daughter being exposed to such "values" creating a whole new controversy that I doubt would be healthy for the kid.
I'm in favor of practicing the religion of your choice and passing its teaching to your children, however, when a few months ago thereĀ was news in my city about the first homoparental child being christened in a catholic temple of the state, I thought "It's wonderful that they CAN christen their child in the faith of their choice, but why WOULD they choose one that considers their family wrong?"
It's like trying to get jewish child into a neo-nazi school (take a shot in the internet drinking game for somebody mentioning nazis)Ā yes, it's wrong to forbid him to enter, but allowing it would probably do the child more harm tha good.
Still, as the piece of news mentiones above proves, the cathoilc church's position is slowly (VERY slowly, don't expect to getĀ catholic wedding maybe in our lifetime) turning around, and maybe this mothers were trying to do their part in showing the school staff and children that they are a perfectly normal and healthy family, which is pretty commendable actually.
I've found that when people are in deep denial, calling them out on it just gets them more defensive and makes them reject the idea.
It's like jumping from a trampoline, if they're already standing above the pool , then a little push will help them take the plunge, but if they're on the floor refusing to even look at the trampoline, then pushing them will only make thing worse. Looking back on my own experience, the only thing that would have made me come out sooner was if a guy I really liked came on to me, and even then it would have taken some time for me to process the whole thing. I believe it's a personal journey, it might help to tell them you suspect them to be gay and you're there for them if they ever feel like talking about it, but if they refuse firmly, then back off and respect the sexual orientation they identify themselves with.
