Someone just uploaded the same pics to different vids for points

Mods, I'm here to inform you of a new trend. Someone in need of seed points has just uploaded the same pics on multiple vids just to get points, disregarding the relevance. Is there a penalty to whoever did this? I'm so pissed that I downloaded a vid, thinking it to be the one in the pics, but it turned out it wasn't. This is really disruptive. The previews on browse page are all but replaced by this guy's inaccurate uploads.

Notice that there are one of the same pics in every link. Kindly do something about it. I'm so effing mad.

If we caught the spammer, there will be a graduated response:

1. PM with note to the Profile
2. Warning
3. Longer warning
4. Again longer warning
5. Account disabled

Sofar we had not to go over step 2. ,

We noticed that recent accuring spamming and are discussing how to improve our response. Some idea is to restrict the ability to upload pictures, first the amount of picutres per day, then totally, instead of going to warnings.

Sorry that you got caught by this picture spammer anthonydraco. Hope the torrent you downloaded wasn't too large. A newer Mod, I suspect, who was doing picture approvals got too…clicky. So sorry for the inconvenience and frustration this caused.

He's been punished already. I caught this user the other day and was so mad that I gave him the most severe warning straightaway (arbitrary warning -permanent). The warning might get removed, or his account might get removed. We'll see…
I went straight to step 4 (maybe step 9 :)) because this was done so deliberately to try and cheat the system! He even uploaded Gay sex pics to Straight torrents.
The reason I didn't ban him right then was because I thought it might cause some disputes amongst Staff concerning some of our guidelines. Then again, a Moderator isn't supposed to override another Moderator's decision. Heavy cheaters usually do get banned tho. $:-\$

We can see who uploaded the pics when we approve or disapprove them.

We've discussed awarding bonus points for reporting other torrents (not just duplicates) as well, maybe that'll get implemented one day.

Yep, once the duplicate report handling tool gets "final" (nothing is really final, therefore the quotes), we should implement a similar system for other infractions to the rules.

I'd start with banned content, with even a higher reward.

I would have gone immediately for a ban >:D given that the individual was deliberately trying to cheat the system and ultimately deceive downloaders. That said, I always marvel at how free of trouble and grief this site is compared to many others. This doesn't happen by accident, it's largely down to you guys who moderate it fairly.

That was my first inclination, but I was on a vacation and in an easy going mood $:-\$ :), but actually wanted to sleep on it and get some input too. I thought I should maybe try to be overly fair GT-style.
I ban people all the time for things I won't mention here ;), and insta-bans are definitely warranted there. I don't go out much (to the other gay torrent sites) so I don't know about their problems much, but it's nice to hear we're doing well in that department.

Well, I looked at Uwe's chart a bit differently in a joking way because there are several warning steps in between ranging from 1 day to 8 weeks to unlimited (9 in my book), but Uwe of course what Uwe wrote is correct. Depending on the offense we're supposed to start out with either a PM warning and note in the user's profile or a 1 day to 3 days warning for more sever offenses, then escalate the warnings if it continues, usually up to 3 real warnings and ban on the forth. We're more lenient than other private trackers in almost all cases. Thanks for offering your help martini20 :), but there's nothing to help with there. You could apply for a Moderator position tho if you'd like. Just send Uwe a PM.

OK, so I noticed his terrible upload speed and wondered what sort of connection he has. Turns out it looks like he has some of the worst data caps I've ever seen. All that's available from his ISP are 5Mbps or 10Mbps download connections with either a 15GB or a 35GB data cap. Then I "caved" and changed his warning to only 2 more weeks after seeing that. ^-^ You can't really do shit with a connection like that. Wow, we'd definitely go over on the first day in this household, our 300GB cap isn't enough sometimes even while trying to be careful. I recommended he get a seedbox. So it seems it was a bad case of desperation and porn torrent withdrawals. He's been seeding the whole time and behaving at least. He'll get an insta-ban from me if he ever does that again and I get to him first tho.
