Liz Warren launches investigation into Trump's White House ballroom — and the backlash is hilarious
A spokesperson for the White House ridiculed Democrats for the accusations.
"Democrats are more concerned with President Trump's historic beautification of the White House than they are for American citizens [who] are hurting because of their reckless government shutdown," Davis Ingle said to MSNBC.
Others on social media pounced on the opportunity to crack jokes at Warren's expense.
"Liz wants White House events held in inflatable tents instead of a ballroom because tents remind her of the teepee she grew up in," one jokester responded.
"So let me get this straight, you are going to use taxpayer money to investigate a privately funded renovation project?" another reply reads.
"[but] Why now? Why not back in July when it was all made public? Could it be because back then, you weren't getting HAMMERED over your shutdown, and you're now desperately clinging to ANYTHING that might serve as a distraction?" another detractor said.
"I expect this to go about as well as your ancestry DNA investigation," another user said.
Gov Newsom didn't fare better.

The White House...point[ed] out Newsom's hypocrisy.
"Your Capitol renovation is costing California taxpayers $1.1 BILLION — 4x more than the privately funded White House ballroom, which costs taxpayers NOTHING," the account wrote.

report: 700,000 Ineligible SNAP Recipients Purged After USDA Uncovers Widespread Food Stamp Fraud
U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins joined Fox News on Sunday and addressed the American people about the USDA's massive effort to combat fraud in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
Rollins said that the Trump administration sent letters to all governors prohibiting illegal aliens from accessing benefits, with a historic request for state data to be audited alongside the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). She said only 29 states cooperated, primarily red and some blue states.
She said her team and DOGE found some of the most shocking fraud ever, resulting in the purging of 700,000 ineligible recipients [in just 29 states; more to come]
SNAP spending surged nearly 40% under Biden, linked to $100 billion in expenditures.
Thousands of ineligible illegals used EBT cards; one individual claimed benefits in six states.
