clicking on any link on the site now takes me to urlrw.com, which is basically just a front to advertise their products. it doesn't subsequently redirect me to the actual link i clicked on on the site.

can we please get rid of this fake redirection or replace urlrw.com with another link redirector that actually works? alternatively, if there is something i'm doing wrong here that will make this issue go away, please let me know.

the purpose of those links is to prevent the site you're visiting from knowing which page you are coming from. if going from a GT page to another GT page triggers a dereferer URL it just shows how little thought was put into the implementation...

I just use a tampermonkey script to get rid of it altogether, i've wrote enough feedback notes to notice that the owner is pretty much done with this site lol

@cp2000 it was smart-ish when it used to work, but same-domain redirection is overkill nonetheless.

This used to work, but I suspect that the domain urlrw.com was bought by someone with a different business model. There are some other de-referrer sites that could be used here, but many browser security packages prevent moving from one site to another without the user's specific consent.

When want to go to an offsite link, I just copy the link as posted here as text, and then manually enter it into the address bar of my browser. It's a little clumsy, but it avoids these scammy third-party sites and still hides gt.ru as the referring source.
