About the size of pictures
-
I've observed that, these last months, more and more uploaded pics are small, even ridiculously small, not to say indecipherable.
Here's an example:
55 × 82 pixels only (which is ~ 0.16 % of my screen area!)…
Could there be some rule to get at least a minimum size? -
@Douseikekkon it USED to be worse! Collages are usually the culprit. I don't know what the purpose is of posting useless images.
-
Size of thumb image unacceptable ...
When posting Screenshots and Covers :
Please upload only BIG Pictures in GOOD quality!
(many file types supported like .bmp .psd .jpg .tif etc. Uploaded Files will be automatically resized by the System.)And that is the rules ...
-
The upload page says rather clearly "Please upload only BIG Pictures in GOOD quality!" If people are ignoring this, it might be worth reporting the torrent to staff.
-
The preview thumb image here is 100 x better than the picture thumb in question ...
-
@john32123666 one problem with that is...
If someone uploaded a COLLAGE made up of dozens of "big" pictures, the system would look at that collage as being just ONE picture, and reduce it's size accordingly... resulting in the individual pictures being the size of microfilm.

@lololulu19 I don't want to blame this particular torrent since it happens much often elsewhere, but my example above comes from this recent Ali Rush & Angel Santana.
I can't tell if it comes from a collage, maybe a low-res screen capture?
I don't remember a time when such minuscule images were that frequent. -
@john32123666 You're right but this rule remains theoretical.
I was wondering whether it's possible to implement a mechanism that would automatically reject a picture that is less than 200 pixels wide (or high) for example. -
@Douseikekkon There is a system for uploaded pictures, and it's a human review process. That said though, there is no screening for pictures uploaded with the initial upload

[320x240] is acceptable for low resolution/[pixels], and any resize image ...
Those are picture thumb preview and not consider pictures, from the torrent in question ...
When you save a html complete page or html text only it includes on a save folder from the browser w/ picture thumb in it ...
There are many free screen captures tools extension from any browsers ...
The only problem, these guys are too lazy and incompetent from doing it right ...
