You can look up the news. I was more interested in what AfD stands for.
Libs insist it's "Far Right". Means what?
Visit AfD's web site....AfD likes Free Speech, Freedom of Expression.
For example, one page is headed:

Democracy thrives on the competition of different opinions for the best solution.That's not Hitler at all.
As to immigrants, AfD doesn't hate them - but does want a common-sense slowdown, secure borders, end rape gangs etc.
Big. Deal.
You would think, "Far Right" should mean
- pro-war
- pro-dictatorship, pro-censorship, pro-one party rule
- racist, sometimes anti-Jewish.
But that
describes libs. USA Democrats.... EU ruling parties.... and Zelensky Regime, which cancels Ukraine elections outright.Now you know why libs are desperate to label their opposition as "Far Right".
Libs do it to deflect blame, that ought to fall on libs.
I can't exactly endorse AfD but - as key ideas - Free Speech & common-sense border security.......
.... just add some Peace / non-interventionism, and I'm there.

One other left-wing party (yes, I just called AfD left-wing - in a nice way) also did well......... it was Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance.... lefties who.... wait for it....... want to 1. stop migration & 2. stop Ukraine war-support.
Like Nigel Farage & President Trump, AfD seems to draw (former) voters of both Right, Center & Left.

From videos I've seen, the older people in Germany are much more liberal (WW2 guilt) than the younger people.

This time, SPD survived. Sarah Wagenknecht did well, but did not overtake SPD.
So this time, AfD drew voters from CDU / Right. Or is Brandenburg State always that left-wing?
