NHS to launch first service for trans patients wanting to return to birth gender

Progress!
The NHS is to launch its first ever service for transgender patients wanting to return to the gender of their birth.
The move comes in the wake of the Cass Review, an independent report into transgender services, which found that children were being hurried down “affirmative” pathways involving powerful drugs and medical interventions.
...eg. surgery which sterlize & mutilate them for life.

Detrans service, already people in line:

Previously, if you wanted to detrans, you had to use private medicine which is expensive.

@raphjd I'm sure, cost is part of why NHS turns against child-trans.
As you see, the mutilation involved in child-trans makes lifelong, costly patients. Detrans & trans prevention, are cheaper.
Maybe someone at NHS wants to protect kids, too. Things can have more than 1 motive.
There's an odd pattern rn where UK & USA both self-destruct, but, one might pause for a bit of financial sanity as it blows Free Speech completely, whereas other might pause for a bit of Free Speech sanity as it blows its finances completely.
