      Hi,

Please can anybody explain if the tracker is down? I tried downloading a new torrent but my client (qbittorrent 4.62) said skipping tracker announce (unreachable).

I have tried switching to another VPN server, restarted my client and restarted my computer. Now none of my torrents are connecting (same message as above).

I have tried forcing reannounce to no avail. My torrents using other trackers are connecting and downloading / uploading no problem. I am pinging the tracker and getting 97% packets received.

What have I done wrong? Have I been banned?

@BKisalive I've been getting "certificate verify failed" errors on all my torrents, starting sometime today. It appears the SSL certificate for their tracker has expired. Hopefully they'll get it fixed soon. I am however still seeding, but cannot start a new download.

@vashkevron OK it was a shame I got banned for using freeleech torrents to improve my ratio, I suppose

              I'm seeing this also.

If an admin is seeing this message, it may be worthwhile putting up a banner message on the site to prevent a torrent (pun unintended) of similar support requests until the SSL issue is fixed.

If your client allows it, you can disable https tracker verification as a temporary "fix" to the error.

@jontron Thank you for the information! That totally worked! Just hope it is announced when everything is fixed so I know when to turn it put it back.

I am also getting this error today, "glad" it isn't just me, I was wracking my brains as to what the problem was. I see seeding is fine but downloading is impossible (for me at least.)

Hopefully this is sorted out soon, but thank you for the temporary fix. 🙂

My qbittorent keeps cycling through different tracker messages and disabling "Validate HTTPS" did work after forcing tracker reannounce. This all happened during a small outage so it took me forever to figure out what the issue actually was.

Me too with the same problem since first thing in the morning. The download is impossible, the upload has no errors whatsoever. Waiting for it to be solved soon

Getting "certificate verify failed" here as well, turned off "Validate HTTPS tracker certificates" in the Advanced page in qBittorrent and torrents start working again. Obviously this is temporary until things are resolved.

All of my torrents just started working again. Looks like the SSL certificate has been updated.

Thanks for the info Gregoid, just checked and the same for me, so looks like things are getting back on track and fixed. 🙂

                                    Thank you @jontron and @lcjw4-0
That helped keep my torrents uploading last night.
Now that certificates have been updated, I re-enabled "Validated HTTPS tracker certificates" and restarted my qBittorent.
Is there anything else I should do?
And are there any security concerns from the temporary solve?

@adultb0uncer-0 as far as I read, if the tracker is trustworthy it's fine to leave the option off. Personally it'll be staying on here as I download TV shows from the bays of pirates. 😏

We recently had an issue with the SSL cert for the tracker having expired. We have fixed the issue and everything should now be back up and running...

@BKisalive No... You will never be kicked for using freeleech torrents. They're the one torrent you can still download even if your download rights are disabled.
