As these things tend to be, it's twisty. Here's what I can make.

      • Yanping Chen would be scientist with alleged ties to China military

      • Herridge shined spotlight on her

      • Chen & lawyers figure Herridge had FBI sources, sued FBI over alleged leaks to Herridge

      • Herridge becomes witness, but won't burn a source

      • matters because, Herridge isn't supposed to burn sources - Herridge is 1-A martyr here

      • but Herridge's lib employer CBS, + elements of USA justice system, would indeed rather burn Herridge & 1-A

Long story short: USA 1-A is only good until someone powerful is inconvenienced.

We knew it - Just latest example.

@raphjd At least it's a bit of a relief to see that this kind of thing doesn't only happen in Canada. It's so bad here that if our current crime minister gets re-elected somehow, I foresee a full on civil war.

Herridge testifies that her employer, CBS, could not have been worse in all this.

She meant to investigate corruption.... CBS, she suggests, protected the corrupt - like enforcers.

But some would call CBS "true journalism" 🤣
