controversy, LA Dodgers & Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence
-
Long story, team management been going back & forth.
First they invited Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.
After Catholics objected, de-invited them.
Then after gays objected, re-invited them.
Now top a player on team - favoring Catholic side I guess - has denounced team management.
My only view: I do agree Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence count as anti-Catholic hate group.
I know what they say for themselves. No no, we're fun & kicky, we stand for this, we promote that, where's ur humor.
But look at their visual message, their drag: it's to mock devoted Catholic women - and in USA / LA, that to a large extent mocks brown Latina women. Be honest.
Imagine gays in drag burqas, mocking brown devoted Muslim women. They wouldn't exist.
Coalition of Muslim men, plus lib politicians crying "Raysssism!", would shut them down.
Sisters of PI only exist because safe target, nuns not fight back.
Being PRO-something like pro-gay, or for that matter pro-Catholic, pro-Hispanic, whatever.... is positive energy.
Being ANTI-something else like mocking Catholic women, or for that matter anti-gay, whatever... is negative energy.
Grown men claiming to be PRO-something while being visually, blatantly ANTI-something, & that merely a safe target.... is living a lie.
Remember...... beyond Sisters, general rule:

I support businesses doing gay pride events, but so many of them have gone crackhead crazy.
I also hate what the Queers did to gay pride.

@raphjd I agree... What was once a form of protest against persecution has now become commercialized bullshit... Just to put it bluntly.
