Why is everything new being deleted from the "Fan Sites" category?
-
Literally every single torrent is being deleted for the past week, every single one. Admins should be transparent and tell us why this is happening. It's only fair with users! Why would we waste our time uploading huge files and trying to download something if it's just going to be removed in a few hours?
What is happening? Can someone PLEASE explain?

It sounds like a DMCA "sweep"
My understanding of OnlyFans is that THEY claim copyright ownership of the material on their site (apparently in conjunction with the artists? I don't see how that would work...)
So, if that's true, my guess is that OF has some way of accessing this site and they're DMCA'ing the OF content.
Any other explanation, gentle readers?

@bi4smooth so nice of you to call them "artists"... I just posted something related to either poor (really poor) content from Onlyfans (with quite a few exceptions) and the files being extremely large... so, there is no proportion in size vs quality (LOL) sorry, I didn't mean that to sound like a joke... I have gotten back to this after being hanging on a little with several subscriptions which just don't make sense, related to the "artists" giving a damn on how often they update with new content or just uploading teasers and asking for say 50usd if u want the full video... As I said, I ended up back here and now I found out this...
-
@bi4smooth Honestly I don't know... If it was onlyfans, I really do think they would delete everything and not just some. And it's very unlikely that every single model of every single torrent that has been uploaded here in the past week filed a DMCA complain. That's like... very unlikely. Onlyfans don't even care about sex workers at all.
I just want admins to give us an answer. They are the ones that can explain.
-
@mcfr4791 There are quite a few onlyfans creators that delivers great content and no PPV videos. Specially the ones that are actually gay. And to those that overcharge their prices and are only ater money from their gay subscribers, this site is one more reason to keep the torrents active, and not delete them.

I just received a Demand for Deletion of Infringing Domain from their lawyers because my domain has the word "fans" in it. They're definitely up to something. It's possible a lot of performers are complaining about piracy sites not removing their content and they want OF to do something about it.
-
@marshy I posted on here about that a few days ago. I upload an obscure user and bam! In a couple hours everything is gone. And it is always Onlyfans stuff also. Thankfully I use a vpn. But streamtape and a few other sites are hosting tons of Onlyfans content for months that have not been taken down . So the admins are our only source for any insight and they say nothing.

why are admins remaining silent?

So I am an IT consultant, not a lawyer - but I'll tell you this about your domain name: tell them to pound sand - the US laws do not apply to Internet Domain Names. If they want to PURCHASE it from you, that's all well and good - $250,000 and a lifetime "membership" to all OnlyFans content - current and future. Otherwise, kiss your royal ass!
They could, theoretically, sure in US courts for DAMAGES, but they would have to prove such. But there is no US Court (not even the US Supreme Court) that has jurisdiction over internet domain names.
I had a client who was sent a similar "demand" letter because their domain started with "it4" and the "demander" owned the domain it4.com... we told them "tough titties... US courts have no jurisdiction, and unless you can show actual harm, you got nothing... but we also offered to SELL them the domain name for $250,000 - which was declined.

I'm not sure why you would think admins read EVERYTHING on the forum... Just saying...

As I understand things, there are different staff members for different operational areas of the site.... with site operations being separate from torrent "moderation" being separate from forum "moderation" (this is what I have gathered from being on this site since the stone ages - like 2008 I think!)... I would be surprised if there weren't OTHER areas of the site I'm missing.
But if past experience is any measure, moderators (staff) DO NOT read every post in the forum! What's more, if a forum moderator read your complaint, who's to say s/he would know anything about what you're talking about?
Also, and I'll get off my high horse after this comment: what's to say YOU are due an explanation? Are your subscription fees ($0.00) any higher than anyone else's?

@bi4smooth maybe then don't owe an answer to one single user, but this is a problem that is affecting thousands of users who use that category everyday to upload and download. So yes, they should address this as soon as possible. I already asked on helpdesk under the DMCA category and I got no answer so far. So I tried the forum and still nothing has been said. I am patiently waiting but this is not a small issue and users do need an honest answer regardless of how much we pay. As I said, it's affecting thousands of users.

So - let me get this straight: You're complaining that people who ILLEGALLY (in most countries, at least) share their porn - can not do so in the VOLUME that satisfies YOU?
Dude - when you read the stories about the "dark web" where people share things (like stolen data, credit card numbers, and porn) that they shouldn't... you're on it!
99% of the porn you're downloading here is porn that is NOT supposed to be shared. Yet, here we are - doing it anyway!
There was a period in time, not so long ago, when Sean Cody and Corbin Fisher were both aggressively SUING downloaders and seeders alike for illegally sharing their material. That has abated (too expensive for too little reward), but the truth is: we're still stealing their porn when we share it here!
I'm sorry if that hurts your feelings, but your complaint is akin to the guy who steals 10,000 credit card numbers and then complains that his ex-wife's isn't on the list (or that his own *IS on the list! LOL).
If the owners/moderators of the site WANT to share information with you about why, then so be it - but you are ENTITLED to nothing! Zip! Zilch! "King of all Ghostings!" - including a 100% refund of your site-joining fees!
Fine! If you want to LAMENT the loss of those videos - I lament the loss of 1000s of Sean Cody videos on their site, and now especially hard to find elsewhere... but that doesn't mean I'm OWED those videos - even if I'm a PAID member there! And you are OWED nothing here, either.
I will end with this observation: your attitude isn't likely to get any kind of a POSITIVE response from any Staff member that I've ever chatted with! And I've been on here since 2008!
-
We have a long-standing policy not to discuss DMCA takedowns.
As already stated, the site is broken up into 3 main sections (forums, torrents, and helpdesk), which staff work. We also have the software/coding part but the site owner deals directly with that.
-
@bi4smooth I don't think it's about "owing anything" but a bit of heads up/transparency would be great even if that's not the most comfortable thing to do for admins/owners.
Besides I think it's you who have problem with attitude. You going off on more than there is to it.
He has some valid points, wasted time and effort, donations and some people also pay for the OF content so they can share it etc.
I had couple of mine taken down recently and it always sort of stresses me out when it happens.Out of curiosity I would like to know how they can find content on here, does it appear in search bar elsewhere so you can view it without logging in?
-
@szafran Yes, the torrent pages are indexed on Google Cache and the title, images, description, etc. can all be viewed without logging in. This has been the case for many years but the admins still haven't opted out of caching for an unknown reason.
It's also possible that they have an account on this site.
-
@bobby12 I definitely just uploaded my last Onlyfans media here. Really sucks that within 4 hrs my stuff is taken down. It was good while it lasted
-
Lmao you really went off didn't you?
First of all, I'm not demanding anything. I'm not complaining about "the volume of content being uploaded by users". I'm very aware that this is illegal sharing and so are you and guess what, we are both still here. Actually, we are both still here since 2008. I've been contributing with a lot of content here and helping users with their requests since then without expectations.
As I said, if users were choosing to upload fewer files I wouldn't be complaining at all. This is not what this is about and we both know it, so don't try to make it sound like I'm complaining because there aren't 'enough' torrents being posted.
I'm just saying that me, as well as other users, would LIKE TO KNOW why every single file is being deleted, that's all. I was very polite both times I messaged the admins. The only one being agressive and with an attitude for no reason here is you. There's just no need for that.
Anyway, I won't message you anymore. This is not why I created this thread. I'm only going to say that in MY opinion I think it would be fair for the admins to let us know why this is happening. Specially to avoid waste of time to download and upload files that are ALL gonna be removed in a few hours. This is MY opinion. Feel free to not agree with me but don't tell me what I should or shouldn't say. If you can have your opinion on rhat matter, well... So can I.
-
@szafran thank u for being reasonable. I agree 100% with you.
