VPN is a networking technology, not an application. Virtually ANY of the common VPNs will work on a Mac.
I personally use NordVPN - because they allow for P2P, because they have to many servers, because they don't log, and because they're relatively cheap.
Others will likely have their own choices... if you're reading this, use a VPN, and have an alternative provider you like better - chime in! (I chose NordVPN 5+ years ago and have just renewed it... maybe there's a better option today?)

@bi4smooth VPNs are both a technology and an application. Many of them do not work on Mac.

Yes, VPN is a networking technology - but there is no app called simply "VPN"... there are vendors who offer applications that implement VPN technology... MOST of them support MacOS. (For example, NordVPN has an app that you install on your Mac to connect to one their VPN servers around the world and tunnel your Internet traffic through THEIR servers - privately, so others cannot track what you do on the Internet, except that you connect to those VPN servers!)
The analogy might be that Linux, Windows and MacOS are implementations of an OPERATING SYSTEM... Operating system being a technology, and the named products (Linux,Windows, MacOS) being mere implementations of that technology.
It is also possible to buy a BOX that can implement a VPN (usually tied into a router capability), and that is completely OS agnostic! (I don't recommend them - they really have a different purpose than what we're talking about a VPN for use on GT.ru would be...)
The VPN I personally recommended (NordVPN, see above) works quite well on a Mac - even REALLY old ones! Download the software and check it out! It also works quite well in Linux! (I use all 3 platforms myself... I work in IT professionally, don't ya know...)

i know i'm kinda late on this but i use WeVPN and it works really well. I prefer it over Nord and Surfshark. (including codes so it'll be cheaper for you). I'm going to recommend you the two i personally like because of features and security.
Depending how long you want to have the vpn for and what exactly you are wanting out of the VPN there are options. Make sure the VPN you're going to get has Port Forwarding so you can also seed after you're done downloading.
WeVPN is a great one which for me was $63 with tax using code "Tomspark" saving you like $7ish for 2 years (Streaming Ips Included)
TorGaurd is another really great one which have has multiple plans ranging from basic Vpn no streaming ips to their "Pro" plans which include "streaming" ips incase you want to watch geo restricted content. that can range anywhere from $60-100+ and if you use code "Tomspark" you get 50% the price so it'll be cheaper.
