If you actually read the story, you'll see that:
- the attempted fraud was detected and stopped...
- it originated from someone in SC (unknown, but postmarked from SC)
- 51 applications were received and rejected
- ZERO ballots were mailed
- ZERO votes were cast
- ZERO votes were counted
- the case was referred (by the supposedly-dirty supervisor of elections) to the SA's office for further investigation (and maybe prosecution)
This is another instance of your screaming "fire" and, once again, it turns out to be little more than a match...
People (on both sides of the aisle) attempt voter fraud every year...
You would THINK we'd hire PROFESSIONALS to design systems that would make this harder...

No, the RIGHT question isn't whether there was ANY fraud, but rather whether there was ENOUGH fraud - that was successful, not just what was attempted, to change the outcome of the election. And there has been no evidence - NOT A SINGLE PIECE - to show this was true in any SINGLE area of any SINGLE state... much less enough in enough states to change the outcome of the election!
I want you to understand something here:
Let's say you convince a LOT of people that elections - in general - just can't be trusted. You're also saying Democracy just can't work, because you can't trust the vote!

We (Republicans) won races we shouldn't have (given a Democrat winning the Presidential ticket) up and down the ballot!

- LOSE state houses... we won even more!
- LOSE the Senate BADLY... we came within one seat of KEEPING it
- LOSE massively in the house... we GAINED seats in the house - enough to make Nancy SWEAT!
The only Republican LOSER in 2020 was Donald J Trump!
I don't think there was widespread fraud because my party won in ways we couldn't have dreamed possible... EXCEPT for the loser Trump, who actually kept it pretty close!

No - but let's summarize again for your child mind:
- There has been NO EVIDENCE of significant fraud - in ANY precinct - affecting the Presidential race.... (NOTE: Evidence is defined as data with enough "weight" as to be permitted in a US Court... that's not a HIGH bar! But it does mean it can't be hearsay and/or be so obviously fake that the attorney presenting it knows it's false)
- Rumors and other conspiracy theories attacking the vote COUNTING process (where ballots are counted using computer scanners) have been PROVEN unfounded - because the actual ballots are on PAPER and hand-recounts have confirmed the machine counts
- Rumors and other conspiracy theories about illegal voting (by non-US-Citizens) have been PROVEN unfounded - because audits by the Supervisors of Elections have shown no unusual or significant issues with their voter rolls.
Have there been isolated incidents? Of course - there always are. There is no reasonable expectation of a "perfect" election... the question isn't whether there were ANY illegal votes... some people vote who shouldn't: some do it accidentally, and a few actually DO attempt fraud. BUT the numbers of people - the amount of illegal voting (whether accidental or intentional) was LESS in 2020 than in 2018, which was LESS than in 2016 - and the pattern of REDUCED election irregularities goes back to the 1970's.
No, the question is whether there was any significant illegal voting... significant being defined as sufficient to change the outcome.
The U.S. is characterized by a highly decentralized election administration system. The entities that do the rubber-meets-the-road functions of running an election are typically on the county or city/town level. The result is that no two States administer elections in exactly the same way, and there is quite a bit of variation in election administration even within states.
Each state’s election administration structure and procedures have grown organically, as times and technology have changed; and administering an election has became an increasingly complex task. For example: the State of Florida - and several other states - significantly changed their election mechanisms after the 2020 debacle (remember the "hanging chads"?).
Fortunately for all involved, the people who RUN our elections in the US are significantly smarter than you and have precautions in place to prevent fraud. Precautions that have been built up over nearly 250 years of voting experience!
But I'm sure that, with your 2nd Grade education, you're perfectly able to defeat their plans and protections after thinking about it for 5 minutes or so of "deep thought"...

Show us the evidence of significant fraud! Not hearsay, EVIDENCE! Somewhere where someone was charged in court of perpetrating fraud with more than a handful of votes! More importantly, perpetrating fraud with the intent of swaying an election result!
Why that last caveat? Because some lady in Texas is being accused of fraud because she volunteers in a nursing home and she transported patient ballots to a ballot box. No one actually influenced (or even helped in any way) their votes - she just drove them to the ballot drop-box... and for that, she is charged with election fraud (ballot harvesting). The case remains unresolved in the TX courts...
Finding a sock under the dryer does NOT mean that there are 1000's of socks hiding under there, or that all dryers have socks under them... If you want to make an argument that there is a voter fraud problem, prove it with statistically significant proof!
We keep hearing from the Trumpites: "We have the proof"
The time to show the proof was in Nov-Dec of 2020, not Sept of 2021!! So, I call bullshit! THE TRUTH - she admitted to entering birth dates of 1/1/1900 for significant numbers of absentee ballots. What she apparently DID NOT KNOW was that this was an intermediate step in the ballot verification process and was perfectly NORMAL in the Wayne County Supervisor of Elections process.
Was she responsible for hundreds of cases (even thousands?) of voter fraud? Or just a "line worker" who didn't understand the process. FACTS have shown the latter...

Broward County is HUGELY Democratic - by a 2-1 margin if not more! So that they keep electing Democrats to the position of Supervisor of Elections is unsurprising. That these people have been incompetent for so many years IS surprising... and shameful. But incompetence isn't "dirty"... and there have been NO complaints of FRAUD from Broward County in the past 20-30 years... just incompetence.... complete and total incompetence. But hey, THIS IS FLORIDA! Sometimes it isn't just "Florida Man" - sometimes it's "Florida Woman!"
While no one (no, not even Brenda Snipes or Miriam Oliphant) has ever been charged with actually throwing or defrauding an election, they have been shown to be incompetent (or to have allowed for severe incompetence in their office - and they hold responsibility)...
So what kinds of offenses did they (both) do?
- Oliphant helped create and approved of the disastrous "butterfly ballot" used in 2020 that contributed to the utter chaos of the 2020 election
- they hired homeless people to work in the office (during election cycles) - people with no credentials and no experience. And some of these people did dumb things... like losing boxes of absentee ballots (Now remember: this district is nearly 70% Democrat - so losing those ballots PROBABLY hurt Democrats in statewide elections more than anyone else!)
- they both repeatedly failed to recruit sufficiant poll workers for elections - resulting in long lines and thus polls that sometimes had to remain open for hours after they were supposed to close (by State Law - if you are in line when the polls are supposed to close, you are still allowed to vote... the polling place must stay open until the last person in line at the cutoff time completes their vote.)
- a worker for Snipes accidentally posted online election results (partial results, no doubt) 10 minutes PRIOR to the close of the polls - a violation of state law because it could influence people in-line to vote!
- She (Snipes) permitted the destruction of physical ballots - which was prescribed by law - in spite of a court order to retain them. She thought the the DIGITAL COPIES were sufficient for the court, and was trying to stay "true" to the law...
So what's the take-away? Broward County elections are incompetent, not necessarily fraudulent.
Lookup those 2 prior Supervisors of Elections: Miriam Oliphant & Brenda Snipes online and read... it's not pretty! They were both CLEARLY incompetent for the job (note: Snipes was appointed by Republican Governor Jeb Bush before she won the position by election... oh yeah, right... by @raphjd's measure, Jeb Bush is a RINO, a Liberal, and a closet Democrat! my bad!)
