User Reviews?

So members can receive some bonus points for posting pics and assorted other things, how about promoting the writing of independent, non biased reviews? You know something NOT written by the producer of the video itself. I really get tired of reading over the top gushing synopses penned by some hack paid by the porn company itself. Just an idea.

I can understand why one could get tired of the gushing (tee hee) descriptions on uploads here that are lifted verbatim from websites – naturally, content producers are going to put the best spin on their product as possible.
Still, I can't fault Uploaders from using those descriptions -- they are time-savers compared to penning one's own prose, and in many cases, we might assume the Uploader agrees with the copy.
(Truth be told, there's an even bigger, fundamental problem with Uploaders who provide little or no written description at all, also those who omit the "basics," like the studio, photos, year produced and file resolution – 720p, 1080p, etc.)
With that said, anyone can contribute an "independent, non-biased review" in the Comments section at the bottom of each contribution's page. I have done so on numerous occasions, sometimes to praise the video content or the Uploader's detailed description -- and other times to comment that a video was lacking in some manner.
As for "promoting" -- and by this, I assume, awarding seedpoints -- for writing reviews, that might be a difficult task. Some people may write a few insightful words, others a rambling paragraph or two -- what qualifies as "points-worthy"? A numbing administrative task for our already busy site volunteers!
I appreciate your examining the site and offering ideas to make it work better. Let's see what others have to say.

It is great when others comment, because that can sometimes provide more helpful information than one finds on IMDB and other sites. Do enjoy light synopses that do not give away too many spoilers, but even those from trusted sources can miss the mark.
One thing I've noted about reviews is that when someone gives an opinion, it rarely if ever will match what I thought of it. Have enjoyed movies other said were trash, and wondered why someone said a particular movie was the best ever. Have to bet it is that way for plenty of others as well.
Those who enjoy giving unbiased reviews tend to do so without a regard for rewards, but it could be a nice bonus.

good idea, thumb up I clicked, though personally more prefer every comment has a LIKE button which others can click, and every LIKE received auto becomes N (eg. 10) seedbonus, so the more valuable a comment is, the more bonus author would get. this system would auto incentivize and hatch valuable user reviews, additional notes, etc. seems a good idea.
but maybe the last thing this tracker lacks is good ideas could we say? what it lacks even more are probably resources. time resources, human resources with appropriate competencies eg. coding, web design….server resources, etc. if the boss list priorities for various ideas and issues needed to be fixed, user reviews seem one of unimportant and unurgent ones.
though ofc a good feature IF one day truly implemented and fair number of members write it (unlike Tag System)
