Is 480P OK?
-
Hello Everyone,
I'm trying to upload my first torrent in a few days and I was wondering If video quality would be an issue. I'm currently paying for a membership to a certain site and I want to download all the videos and upload them here. Unfortunately If i download only the 1080P or 4K videos This torrent would be almost 400GB. The 480OP videos would me much smaller. Would this be acceptable?

We always remember our first time
If the video material from that site was digitally produced in 4K, or even 1K HD, and then reduced down to 480P, it will still be reasonably clear. I think people will welcome your contributions.
Some 480P videos have lower quality due to having been shot with older and/or analog equipment. It sounds like your stuff won't suffer from that problem. You might download a few videos from your source and put them up here, to see what reaction you get from other members.

Unfortunately there's no requirement about quality. Some people even upload the same video in different resolutions. There are some people who watch videos on their phone or tablet or who have slow internet connections or not a lot of storage who might prefer a smaller file.
Personally, I had rather have a few 1080p videos rather than a bunch of 480p videos. I don't generally download anything less than 720p unless it is super special such as a favorite porn actor in an older video for which no higher quality version exists. So if you posted only 480p videos, I would not download any.
Also consider NOT creating a huge torrent of 400 GB or even 50 GB. It's likely no one will want to download it all so it will have no seeders except for you. If someone downloads just a few files and continues seeding them, it will register as a leeching torrent and take up one of their download slots. With a torrent that large, no one will spend the points to make it freeleech. Some of those videos are probably already available here, anyway. You will probably not be able to describe each video adequately and upload photos of each one. And there are many other reasons that large torrents are a problem.
So consider that it might be better to create separate torrents for higher quality files rather than a huge torrent of lesser quality files.

Thank you for the quick reply and the advice. I have started with a smaller torrent to boost my ratio and later I will upload the siterip in many smaller torrents with the 1080p and 4K videos.

LOL!
I downloaded a 480P video from the site and it was trash. I would have to downgrade them myself which would take a long time. I have uploaded a smaller torrent and I will deal with the massive one in the future.

Have you thought about uploading fewer videos at a time, but with better quality?
