Anyone have any travel plans after Covid is over-ish and countries start opening up?

Would you go back to travelling? hesitant to travel?  Can't wait?  What do you think will happen in our new world when it comes to travel.

I personally can't wait to travel again, I would take more precautions in airplanes, but not sure if I would travel wearing a mask the whole time.

I had lots of plans for 2020 that evaporated…and yes, I want things to get back to "normal" soon, but that's not going to happen until there's a vaccine.  I'm not holding my breath--we've been waiting almost 40 years for a vaccine against HIV, and we still don't have one.

I live mostly in the US right now, and I'm quite sure that there's going to be a resurgence of Covid19 here as a result of premature "reopening."  Things will get locked down again, and perhaps in early 2021 things will begin to normalise.  We'll still need social distancing, and air travel will likely still involve masks...and I can't imagine ten hours or more with a mask on.  I used to travel between London and Johannesburg quite often, and I won't do that if I have to be masked.  I also don't know what the air travel industry will be like after almost a year of virtual shutdown.  It's not going to be pretty.

I hope I'm wrong in my predictions...I have family in UK, Switzerland, Australia...all over the place...and I very much like visiting them.  I echo your sentiment that "I can't wait," but I'm going to have to.  It sucks...and not in the good way.

I had a lot of travel plans for this year, around my country, but also to some European countries and the United States.

I don't know how the "new normal" life will be afer Covid-19… To tell you the truth I am a bit scared right now to travel...

Ironically, Wuhan might be one of the safest places regarding coronavirus:  Many people were infected and have antibodies, and also the government is very strict with monitoring and control of people.  I am not comfortable with all of the steps taken by the Chinese government, but they do seem to have been effective.

Many people in the United States object to government controls and disease prevention strategies–and the result is terrible.  I am currently in California, where the infection rate continues to increase.  I am not optimistic about the future.

You have my best wishes for your good health and successful studies!

I'm not scared of travelling, but probably won't be doing any major travelling until it's relatively convenient again.

I was planning on going to Germany or France, but I'm not sure, I mean, who nows if Covid-19 has another unexpected turn.

We've had to cancel or postpone several plans, and do not want to risk travelling until it is much safer to do so. That is going to take a long while, if ever.

I am hoping to visit Scotland with my boyfriend so we can visit his best mate who had married this summer, where we were supposed to attend.

I was going to travel to London mid November, but it has been cancelled  :cry2:
Still in a bad situation all over Europe for travelling…

We were supposed to be on tour in South East Asia last April but due to Covid-19, this was postponed and our money was fully refunded (thanks to that Honest Travel Agency in our country).

Fortunately. my friends and I have a road trip in the Northern part of our country last February.

My passport expired this Dec 12, 2020 so by January 2021, I will renew it in the hope that this time, our out of the country tour will push through.

I love going back most especially to Thailand.
