Is it okay to say "Whites only" on tinder/grindr profile?
-
I have been through many dating profiles which say things like "no rice, no spice" or straight-up "whites only."
It felt weird, but I get it. People get to decide who they want to date, and it's not a bad idea to be straightforward about it. Personally I would say that it's a good idea to be open to at least dating outside your comfort zone, which could lead to pleasant surprises. Some friends think that it's racist, and it bothers me when I am in a town/city where there are many profiles like that.
On the other hand, I have been on dates and found that I was fetishised because of my race. Which was great
How do you feel about this?

Lets see… people are more or less free to say whatever the hell they want on social media. So if they want to point out that they only want white dick and risk being framed as a racist or something that is perfectly okay in terms of their freedoms. Being direct is better than to lead people on and if you're the type that likes a specific ethnicity more than others then you will naturally choose to pursue them in a in-person situation anyways.
In the frame of "okay" in terms of what it means socially, then the answer is no, its not okay. Homosexuals are already persecuted by the societies they live in, its ironic that we go out of our way to do even more to one another.
My approach is what everyone else already does on apps like that, if I'm not interested in someone I don't reply. If they're insistent then instead of simply ignoring them I politely explain that I'm not interested. It seems like the hardest thing for gay guys to do on these apps is to actually say "no". Its something about not hurting anyone's feelings but to me it seems to be much worse to unintentionally lead someone on because you couldn't just say what you're really thinking.

Good god, people say everything on social media stuff.
But to keep from being labeled a fanatical racist just say prefer whites. Not "whites only". That way you come off as just a little racist not full blown Hitleresk.
Plenty of ads have blacks preferred, Asians preferred. Athletic preferred.
I did it and put six pack required. I didn't want some little hungry thing messing with me and not into chubs or people who look like they eat at a fast food restaurant 24/7.So, to each his own.
-
Might be better to say something like "I'm especially attracted to pale skin/blond hair/blue eyes/whatever" … voice the preference in a less brash & racist way. That way you're voicing a physical preference but keeping your options open.
-
A lot of hot guys hate racists, so I would avoid putting anything potentially racist (including "white only") in your profile. You only have so many characters, which you should expend on writing other things i.e. what your personality is like.
-
Everyone has their own preferences, but I think using the term "whites only" does come across a little racist. Maybe use the phrase "prefer men of caucasian descent" instead.
-
Personally I just think it's dumb. Why limit yourself to one kind of guy? We all have a type or types of guys we are generally more attracted to, but better to just say thanks but not thanks or don't reply when someone you're not interested in writes.
Also, what I waste of characters on your profile. Better to write what you actually want instead of what you don't.
-
So the jist of the replies is, have your preference, but don't say it because that would racist.
I'm wondering if the same people would say the same thing if a black guy said: "black only".

I wouldn't because I would think of a history of repression and violence there and think that a black gay person might feel safer with another black guy and there isn't history of black men oppressing white men. I don't think the same applies to white men, just like the same things don't apply to straight people as they do gay people. I don't know if I'm explaining it well. I would think it was a shame that the black guy was limiting himself, just like a would the white gay guy.
However I'm just now remembering that there are in fact other races! So thinking a step further I would think that was shitty too. Maybe not as shitty (I'm not black so I would not pretend I would automatically know all the reasons for him saying "black only") but still kinda shitty towards asians etc.
-
It is Okay but recommend to use other words to express you are attracted to white people. Although it is your right to choose what you like sometimes, we have to consider the situation.
-
That's really racist. Not gonna argue about it, but if you were a black guy, you would totally think that's very racist.
But most people are used to being racist without realizing it. So… you can choose that point of view as well. :crazy2:

What about white farmers in Africa?
What about Korean shop owners across the US?
I've been mugged twice, by black guys.
Looking at statistics, blacks really aren't the victims.
-
I was reported for being racist because of my previous post.
How is it "racist" to show that blacks are not victimized in modern times?
I have a feeling that it's more of the same old identity politics where whites are demonized and racism toward whites is justified and when other races do it toward whites, the definition of racism is changed so only whites can be labeled as racists.

Or just… don't put it in your profile? To me, putting "WHITES ONLY" or "sticky rice" or "no fats no femmes" is the equivalent of going into a gay bar and then yelling at everybody, before they had a chance to approach you, that "ONLY WHITE PEOPLE APPROACH ME". If you yelled that unprompted in real life, guys would look at you weirdly and think that you're a racist/bigot. Same applies to Grindr.
If a guy who isn't your type approaches you, just turn them down nicely by saying "not my type", as you would at a bar or club. There's no need to emblazon your profile with unnecessary words. Those words may not only seem offensive but would also make you seem like an asshole who is feeling the need to announce things.

This whole conversasion is racist because (excluding my posts) it makes it sound like only whites do it and it's only racist when whites do it.
According to the Atlantic Black Star, 89% of black people don't have romantic relationships outside thier own race. When blacks do have romantic relationships outside their own race, it's mostly black men and white women.
PEW also says that Asian men are less likely to have romantic relationships outside their own race/national origin than Asian women.
Basically, (excluding native groups who are pretty exclusive to their own race/group) people have romantic relationships outside their own race about the same amounts.
This topic reminds me of Riley Dennis on YouTube who claims that if a lesbian won't suck his lesbian cock, then she's transphobe. He said the same thing about people like me who find the idea of eating a guy's vag beyond gross. He called it "genitalism" and transphobia.
Similarly, it reminds me of the woman (former student union president) who claimed it was homophbic of people like me who won't fuck her because she's gender fluid and sometimes male, because she wears jeans.

Why not just say Whites preferred?
Personally I like White, Celtic, Nordic, Slav, Northern Mediterranean, Black of all shades, South East Asian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Polynesian, Melanesian, Micronesian, Native Americans North and South, Latino, Inuit.
I am not turned on by Middle Easterners, Southern Mediterranean, And Indian Sub-Continentals. I'm not sexually attracted to them.Does that make me racist?
By the way, my partner for the last 19 years is Thai. Does that make me racist?
-
I'm concidering "naming and shaming" a certain poster in this thread who keep reporting me for being "racist" because I state facts. Even using facts from black media is supposedly racist. PEW Research studies are racist.
It's amazing that saying that the most common races (this excludes "native" races because they are small groups) is equally "guilty" of not dating outside their race, is somehow white supremacy because it's not demonizing whites while ignoring or praising other races for being the same as whites.
He's butch enough to whine behind the scenes, but doesn't have the courage of his convictions to to put his stance forward in public.
I can put his views out there for him since he's to afraid to do it. White people are always evil, no matter what. Research, facts, stats and whatnot are evil if they do not show that whites are evil and everyone else is innocemnt and perfect.

Just don't put it in your profile. It saves you trouble. Straight people don't put that crap on their profile, simply because it's a really terrible thing to read. Why not use the character to talk about hobbies or non-race related things? I use my character to include things like "no pic no chat" or "Send Face pics please".

Yeah, from the people who scream "racism" at the drop of a hat.
Straight people don't put that crap on their profile, simply because it's a really terrible thing to read.
Why is it a terrible thing to read, when it's shown that every race is pretty much exclusive to their own?
Ok, yeah, I get it. "Whites Only" is vile, while "[insert any race but white] only" is good.
Why not use the character to talk about hobbies or non-race related things? I use my character to include things like "no pic no chat" or "Send Face pics please".
But you are being an "ist" by stating your preferences.
You are also guilty of being an "ist" because you won't chat without a photo. YOU ARE GUILTY AND SHOULD KILL YOURSELF!!! (sarcasm, btw).
++++
Like I previously pointed out. I'm a homophobe (in the leftist mindset) because I won't fuck a fat chick who claims to be "gender fluid" because sometimes she wears jeans.
Being a "chubby chaser" makes you a wonderful person. Not being a chubby chaser makes you evil. It doesn't matter if you are gay or hetero, as long as you are male. It's empowering for women to be selective, while it's fucking evil for men to be the same way.
When I go looking for my next car, do i have to test drive everything there is so I'm not acused of being some sort of "ist"? If I tell the sales person I'm not interested in "micro minis" and "city cars", does that make me a horrible person? What about the fact that I love bright color cars because they can be seen better while driving? Does that make me evil for not wanting colors that blend into the background?
I want a car with a high safety rating. Does that make me an evil "safety rating'IST"?!
I hate beets and won't eat them. Does that make me a beet'IST?! When people ask me, should I lie and say I love beets so I'm not deemed a bad person?
Where does the insanity end?
AND AGAIN, why is it only bad when whites do it?! And please try to make your white hating racist justifications without using the dictionary fallacy.

Ah, the old "white people are the real victims" card. Cool, cool.
