Happy New Year in my Language

It's already 13:22 here in our country, a few hours to go and Goodbye 2017. Although we rarely used our Filipino greeting of Happy New Year, still, to All GayTorrent.ru members

It's nice to see a Tagalog New Year's greeting here at GT!
When I lived in NYC, I had a few Filipino boyfriends over the years. The words I heard the most were ulol and bastos. I suppose those are the words for "smart" and "sexy." (Or, perhaps not.)
Anyway, a Happy New Year to you, kalayaan, and everyone, in every time zone, in every language, wishing for a better 2018!

Perhaps not is most apt. "Ulol" can either means Your crazy/silly/mad. Bastos on the other hand can mean rude/nasty/cheeky/indecent/ cocky/uncouth depending on how it was spoken

I'm using Tagalog which is most widely spoken language in our country. We have 185 languages (Not dialect)

My country, Canada, is also fairly linguistically diverse. With immigrant and indigenous languages there are currently around 200 languages in the country - mostly immigrant languages with 60 indigenous languages. While the majority speak English and/or French at least 20% of the country speak a different language at home.
OUt of the 60 Indigenous languages only 3 currently have a robust population of speakers. -
For most of latinamerica is fair simple: Feliz año nuevo!
-
In Vietnam it would be "chúc mừng năm mới", though lots of people also just use English "Happy New Year"
