Should POTUS use sarcastic Tweets?
-
This is all over the Japanese media this morning. The tone is reproach. Personally, I think the POTUS using Social Media is positive as it gives any sitting person the power to communicate directly with the electorate, especially a part of the population that no longer watches TV or reads newspapers.
So POTUS responds to Mr. Kim from North Korea with a jab at his height and weight. This is clearly Donald speaking and not the persona of POTUS.
Is this okay or not okay in POV? And please stay on topic, here.

I think it's great that Trump uses something like Twitter to get his message out to the people, however I don't think posting messages helps a president, it only hurts. Just about all presidents have avoided saying anything that they didn't have to, or was sanitized by their staff before saying it. Reagan was famous for pretending he could not hear the questions.
By the way.. online it says that Kim Jung Un is 5'7 and 300 pounds. Bullshit. He is more like 5'3 and 170 pounds. Even if he was 5'7, he would be the size of a house at 300 pounds. Putin is 5'7 and could probably kick the ass of any other world leader. Justin Trudeau is another bruiser.. he is 6'2 (as is Trump) but in much better shape.

We pretty much had this conversation, with different specifics, several times before.
I'm gonna paraphrase RoyalCrown89; "while I get what he's doing and agree to some degree, he should be a stoic figure and let others do the dirty work".
That's not the person who was elected.
People tried to change the way Jimmy Carter spoke because his accent was deemed by some as too "hillbilly" to be President.
