Who should pay more for insurance?
-
When you go to insure your car.. would you expect to pay more for insurance if you:
A. had no accidents, had no citations, owned a car that cost $10,000, and drove 5000 miles a year…
or
B. had some accidents, some citations, owned a $100,000 car, and drove 80,000 miles a year?Apparently, moonbats think you should pay the same regardless of whether you were A or B
....
Just today, the moonbats are whining that Trump's order will result in healthy people paying less for insurance but will also result in sick people paying MORE for insurance! Well.. boo hoo! Of COURSE they should be!
I can tell you that the profit margins of small businesses are quite often less than 5% per year.
Which business do you think would go out of business first in regards to paying for employee health benefits?
The one that hires young healthy people?
or
The one that hires eldery people, and those that take advantage of maternity leave and workman's comp?At one small office I worked in, everyone in the office suffered because of one woman and her litter of little bastard kids making more health insurance claims than everybody else in the office combined. Why should I as a single male be penalized because this bitch has 7 kids from 2 marriages? (that company went out of business less than 2 years after I left.. basically.. I set up all their computers and software for them.. but once they needed to get new computers and update the software.. the whole operation imploded because they couldn't find anybody do to it right. What they had me doing for FREE on my own time, they paid an outside computer service $20,000 in just labor costs to upgrade their system.. which failed. I had set something up on the computer which would do in 30 minutes perfectly. what it took a person 40 hours to manually complete with errors).

Sick people are less likely to have the ability to pay. Let's say little Charlie Gard was an American and he survived. He will be sick his entire life and need lots of medical care. Assuming ObamaCare is repealed the moment he turns 18 he will need to find his own insurance. How will he afford it? The poor kid will have spent 18 years fighting for his life only to die at age 18 because he doesn't have the ability to pay? That's silly…..

The right is pro-life until that life is out of the womb and needs care. That's when you better put that six-month-old to work no matter how sick he is doggonit!

… I will say one thing about your comments.. they are consistent! (consistently irrational and inane)

Nice try at giving a "doomsday" scenario. You know quite well that even with no insurance, nobody is left to die. At the very LEAST.. they would be put into a hospice and get their meds, oxygen, food, shelter, wounds dressed, etc.
People do die. Are you suggesting that everyone with emphysema, heart disease, cirrhosis, or kidney failure should have a lung, heart, liver, kidney transplant?I suppose that murdering a baby - even a 100% perfectly healthy baby - like Hillary advocates is OK.. but having a person have a chance at life despite their challenges is bad? This is why anybody who knows about Hillary's stance on abortion and still voted for her is going to hell - if there is a hell. And they should know it, because she laid it out in the 3rd and final 2016 presidential debate.

Those are outlier cases, Aadam. I believe such people can be taken care of through Medicare/Medicaid, no? (You work in healthcare, so I'm asking.)
Here in Japan, we all get a physical once a year – mandatory no matter your field. There's a fun word METABO which is a corruption of metabolism. If your waist is, gosh, I think it's 98cm or more you're considered overweight (aka METABO) and your company must pay more for that employee's health care. This is supposed to incentivize employers to make sure their employees take care of themselves. #TheMoreYouKnow
Being that so much of the US is overweight it's not a bad idea to make people who don't meet certain criteria to pay more, kind of a alternative sugar-tax.
