Would a foster company needs to know about HIV status ?

I would love to foster but I am not sure if they would turn me down for being Hiv+
has anyone else every fostered.

I am single, HIV+, and foster/adopted. I live in San Diego. It may be different elsewhere. Everyone applying for foster care parenting has to have a medical exam. My medical examiner determined I was healthy enough to raise children and that is what the agency went by.
