Mexicans are Catholic: CONSERVATIVE
-
It's funny to me how all this pandering to Mexicans is going to backfire in the face of liberals, because they're just too stupid to actually understand the Mexican people. They think that they're going to get all these Mexicans in to vote democrat, while forgetting that 90% of Mexicans are Catholic, (CONSERVATIVE). Eventually the Mexicans are going to vote against you, so cool. It's kind of the same thing with Islam, but the liberals will have their heads cut off soon enough. You have no idea what you're doing, do you?

I mean honestly after Trump won, you'd think that all this pro-Catholic and pro-Islam stuff and Anti-Christian stuff would make some sense… Everything the liberals try to do is so Anti-Christian and pro-Islam and pro-Catholic it's just ridiculous! I don't think they actually realize that's what they're doing.

Like How Dare Your Mike Pence for NOT FORCING a Christian business for baking a gay cake! I'm sorry, but that's totally fascist. Why would you want someone who's gonna put boogers in your cake? Just find someone else! It's totally fascist! Mike Pence did a good thing. Nobody should be forced to make a cake for anyone. You wouldn't expect a Muslim to make your cake, so why the Christian? It's totally obscene.

American politics is not my particular field of expertise, but I think there are some assumptions at work here: first that Catholics generally identify as 'conservative' or Republican. Yet American Catholics have historically supported the Democratic Party in numbers, and although there are some elements of Catholic teaching that would seem to favour the GOP (abortion, gay marriage, etc.), there are other elements of Catholic doctrine that are politically left-wing (Catholic social teaching, attitudes to imprisonment and the death penalty, etc.). So there's no particular reason for Catholics to favour one party over the other at the present time.
Moreover, minority groups in America tend to be politically volatile. Before 9/11, most Muslim Americans were Republican voters. Today, following the War on Terror and assaults on the civil liberties of Muslim Americans led (in large part) by Republicans, most Muslim Americans vote Democratic. That has been a very dramatic and fast electoral shift spurred on by the perception that the Republican Party is hostile to Muslims.
So I think there's no reason at all for the GOP to take Hispanic voters for granted. They might vote for a Republican candidate, or they might not. But prior experience suggests that minorities are unlikely to vote for any party that appears to be hostile towards them.

Mexicans tend to be socially conservative but fiscally left-wing/socialist (as most Latin Americans, with few exceptions).
I don't think it will backfire, Mexico is not Saudi Arabia.
Liberal support for Islam, on the other hand…

I mean honestly after Trump won
Please do not overstate that win. Approx. 77,000 votes spread across 3 states may have been enough to give him the electoral college, but it did nothing for his 35-39% approval; hence why he hasn't been able to celebrate that small win since January and why there's so much infighting in the White House. Some "honeymoon" period he's having, right? :crazy2:

His approval is now at 50% (Rasmussen). This isn't the United States of California and New York, so get over the whole argument about how California and New York should decide for the whole nation who the President will be.

I take it you speak for all Mexican people? That you understand the ins and outs of Mexican culture and their society's relationship with the Catholic Church, all the contradictions and nuances? If so, show us the receipts. If not, don't overgeneralize.

Nope, I have already pointed out that I'm against group rights. I don't care about black rights, gay rights, women's rights, because individual rights are above group rights. You want to group us all in a collective and act like you own it, but no individual can speak on behalf of any group. An individual has all the rights they need, thank you. I don't need "gay rights." I have individual rights. I don't need "black rights," I have individual rights. You wanna go on about group rights but you can't speak for a people. You can only speak for yourself, so shut the fuck up.

Group rights lead to special rights.
Race, religion, and all the other protected groups have special rights over non protected groups.
I can't discriminate against blacks or muslims (and many other groups) anywhere in the US, but they can discriminate against me in most of the US.
