I don't know why that is, but when I masturbate or have sex, I tend to hold my breath when I reach the climax stage. either when I'm close to cumming or when I ejaculate. this follows a squeal like noise.

      am I the only one?

I'm not so sure about the squealing part, but holding your breath is very normal. In fact, sometimes it can be hard to climax without holding your breath and "pushing". People die of auto-erotic asphyxiation trying to achieve more powerful orgasms by cutting off their oxygen supply manually (with a rope or something), so the phenomenon of holding one's breath is clearly not unusual.

I'm not sure how it works, but I've always guessed it might be that the pressure from holding one's breath causes more blood to flow into the penis (people who are hanged have spontaneous erections… for whatever reason, the strain increases blood flow to the penis). And that increased pressure inside the penis allows for greater stimulation of nerve endings in the glans = more pronounced orgasm.

Take what I say with a grain of salt, because I haven't studied this stuff in depth at all. Everything I've said is based on second-hand knowledge and intuition.

lol. no it has to do with hypoxia and its effect on dopamine and such : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erotic_asphyxiation
But this is not what this is about here. It's about making a strong muscle effort like if you do weight lifting you dont breath few seconds.
