Who’s your favorite pro baseball team?

besides, it's football season now! (LOL)…
GO CHIEFS!
The Bears are beyond help if they keep clinging onto Cutler to be the savior of the team. :cheesy2: Oh well :crazy2: As long as I don't have to hear the words Tom Brady, NE Patriots, and Superbowl mentioned in the same sentence I am all good on football.
Now to catch up on Big 10/NCAA Women's VB now that baseball season is done

Well…it definitely wasn't how I wanted the season to end but there's still reason to celebrate :)...

Corey Seager named National League Rookie of the Year for 2016!

Alright–the season half over--I’ve waited long enough to start chattering about my team–my Dodgers!
Yeah, Colorado and Arizona thought they’d be contenders in the NL West–until they played us right before the All Star break. Prior to that, it was pretty much us in 3rd place--behind those two battling over 1st place.
Things changing dramatically with us sweeping them in the final series of games before the break--they’re now more than 10 games behind us. The 2 sweeps--part of our league leading 13 sweeps so far this season.
Regarding that other team in the West, just across the bay from where I live–the team many thought would be the “best in the West”--well they picked up where they left off at the end of last season. They’re still on that record-breaking run going the wrong direction that they started right after last season’s All Star break, and they’re currently more than 30 games behind us.
As for the rest of the league--last season’s contenders and champs, and even this season’s Astros. Baseball’s best for practically the whole first half, until they too were passed by us--the only team with 60 wins going into the break--and now the only team currently in the 70’s with wins.
Fortunately, we didn’t do what the Giants did last season, and the gap between us and everybody else just keeps getting wider with this record-breaking season we’re having and the record-setting pace we’re on.
Go Dodgers!

Dodgers Do It Again!
Sunday night’s win over our arch-rival capped off a series sweep of those Giants, our 14th sweep so far this season–and what a season!
Since our 10 and 12 start, we’ve gone 64 and 19--a .771 winning percentage. Currently at .705, we’re the only team in baseball in the sevens.
Not only was it the second come-from-behind win of this weekend’s series--it was the 31st of the season, and the 9th one of the “walk-off” variety!
Just as it’s been on this record-breaking run, it truly is a team effort from the veterans down to the rookies, and all the players in between--every game finding a different player “stepping up to the plate.”
That was surely the case Sunday night--on national TV no less--down a run in the bottom of the 11th…
The count is full for number 65, Kyle Farmer, and he delivers with the walk-off 2 run double. Only “called-up” Thursday, it was his “debut” and his very first at bat in the “bigs”…

Soon after, it was another “first” for the newest man on the roster, something a player might only experience at the end of his career (or never at all)–a “curtain call”--wow! :clap2:
