Do you cut your own hair or have it professionally done?

I cut my own hair, and my partner's as well.
Cutting his hair at “The Hill”–
The first image is in my bedroom upstairs at the house in Berkeley, California–the name from its location--it sits on a prime piece of real estate within walking distance of the university and BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) light rail system; and even a shorter walk, literally within a few blocks and down the hill from the renowned Claremont Resort and Spa (the “Claremont” to the locals).
The two-story, 4-bedroom has 2 baths, living room with fireplace, and access from the kitchen as well as the day room that sits off the formal dining room, to the fenced back area–private and comfortable, secluded within the lush canopy of trees bordering the landscape.
In addition, there’s a downstairs basement, and stairs from the second level leading to the large rooftop deck.
Finally, the added bonus--where street parking can be a bit competitive--a private drive leading to the attached garage!
Any offers?
I guess I should mention that it is in the process of being restored, and has been since he bought it about 50 years ago (a number that seeing–after doing the math--kind of shocked me).
Through the years and through the course of relationships, plans for the house have changed, the last being us each with a bedroom, and each with a “playroom”--his for his collection of antique telephones, mine for my HO trains and layout.
Once the site of fervent activity, complete with hired employees and steady work hours, the house now serves more as the stop and turnaround point in his daily walk; and there is the somewhat sad realization and likelihood that neither of us will probably ever live in the house.
Bobby feels that he won’t see it completed; and when and if it does get finished, that I won’t be able to afford to live in it…oh well.
The house is one of three in his “estate”–none of which either of us lives in, as he lives in a 2-bedroom apartment a short walk away, while I live in a studio about a mile or so away.
Maybe not typical of the living arrangements one would think to be associated with a couple close to 35 years together--not only paying rent on two separate residences, but doing so when two of the houses are within such close proximity to us. ???
(Then again, who knows? That might be the reason why we’re still together.)

I (masterfully) clipper my own
-
I go to the barber
-
Dont get it cut that much
-
My hair is cutt but the same hairdresser that has been doing it since I was 15 (16 years and counting). I like it short.
-
i go to a professional to make my hair done

I go for a really short buzz cut, so I do the entire head on my own every week or so. I actually got a new set of clippers for myself (early Xmas gift ::)) and it's amazing! It's cheap, easy, and people say it looks great on me (many of them, especially women, say it makes me look more masculine and/or tough and it's sexy).
However, I will occasionally let one of my boyfriends buzz my hair or even pay a few and go to a barber (and also get a straight razor shave on my face). It feels good when someone else does it and you can just sit back and relax

Pay someone to do it, create a job

I have cut my own hair since being 'college poor' back in the '60s, and liked the results.
Now, at 66, I still find I give myself the best cut!
I think I have the knack! -
Always by a pro.
-
I have always had my hair cut. Cant do it on my own. Too clumsy to do that.. LOL
-
I go to a barber. But none have ever been that great. I wish there were high end male barbers as well. Would like to try it once.
-
Last time I 'mowed' my own hair a regret has been done. - No more.
So, professionally for the rest of my life per month - I guess.
-
I cut my hair professionally. Once a month.
But the skill to cut my own hair is one I very much would like to have.
-
I cut my own hair with scissors and clippers. I get compliments.
I know a hair place that does a good job, but I don't like waiting for an appointment.
-
cut my own

Even though I usually like my hair to be very short I get it professionally done - but it really does depend which country you live in, thankfully prices for hair cuts in salons in my country range from 3-4 dollars up to 10-15 dollars - anything above that would be considered too expensive for a hair cut.
I did live in the US for a while - you can imagine my shock when I came up to the register in a salon and they asked me to pay 50 bucks for a hair cut … not only that - they even asked to leave a tip for the hair stylist :blind: The amount of culture shock I received that day... :afr: -
I want to learn to cut my own hair, but it's too hard and I'm afraid of the commitment

When I was a teenager I used to cut by myself and now I look at the pictures and I see that it was a fucking mess.
Now I only have it professionally. -
barber!
