Some torrents no longer showing green on search list
-
For some reason recently, I noticed torrents that I have downloaded and have been seeding, no longer are showing up "green" on the search list. there are a few collections / topics I collect and seed. In particular the long series of XTube.CAM4.GAY.AMATEUR.MEGABK.xxxx. On many of these especially the older ones, I appear to be the only active seeder except they don't show up as ones I have downloaded. They show as grey, neither the light or dark green background.
So I asked myself How can I get these torrents to reflect again that I downloaded them?? I have tried reloading the torrent file and sometimes it works and sometimes not. What am I missing?I first realized this was happening, when I thought I found one I had missed downloading. When I downloaded the .torrent file and tried to add it to the queue, I got a warning that "The torrent you are trying to add is alaready in the list of torrents. Do you want to load the trackers from it?" Which I said yes and then checked to ensure it was in seeding not finished state. Like I mentioned before normally this gets the entry to go light green but not to the dark green. What am I doing wrong?

Hi, youngla, thanks for writing…
I just checked a search for torrents that I recently downloaded, and as you say, they are now shown in a very subtle difference shade of green, and yes, it's not as noticeable as before. I'm certain this was the result of software changes made on the website recently.
Your second issue of older torrents not showing up as (light green) you having downloaded them before...??? Sorry to say, but there was a "cleaning" of the database a while back, and it had the unfortunate effect of deleting the entire older history of downloaders for each torrent... :afr:
Soooo.... It's not YOU, and you're not going crazy :cheesy2: and it's nothing you've done wrong, it's just the unfortunate side-effect of the above-mentioned database cleaning, here on the site.
Your solution to redownload the torrent, is probably the best solution for this situation, since it's clear you're depending on that green shade on the torrents search... to show you which ones you've already downloaded.
Sorry about these issues, and thanks for the terrific explanation of your perceived problem. It made checking the issue, and responding to you, a lot easier than what's often the case... English is a lovely language, when used correctly, and to perfection.
Take care,
