Abomination
-
I've been gay and out for quite a while to most of my friends. Today, I've decide to come out to my parents.I come from a society where the previous generation is conservative as fuck and filial piety is a huge thing. When I came out, my parents called me an abomination and rejected me. The feel that I am abnormal and tell me I would go to hell.

You are perfectly normal and it is your parents that are in trouble according to religion.
Judge not yet yee be judge. I am not a religious person, so please correct me if I'm wrong. Isn't god the only one that is suppose to judge you when the time comes? By judging you right now, they are playing god, and isn't that the greatest sin of all?
But back to your situation, sounds like you at least have your friends to depend on, that is better than a lot of other people that came out. Again, there is nothing wrong with you, stand tall and just be comfortable with who you are.

Society has a way of trying to control people through methods of fear. Get rid of the fear or it will eat you out.
Society programmed your parents to react the way they did, no fault of their own, and now they fear having a child that is gay, and because of the programming imposed upon them, they fear of being associated with someone who does not conform to the "norm".
Trust me, you will not go to hell, hell does not exist, it's a man made thing to inject fear and control the population.
Be happy, accept who you are, and embrace life!!!

 The bible states, Judge not lest ye be judged; and let the man who is without sin cast the first stone. :pope:
Your parents are just reacting with fear to something which they have been programmed to fear and which they don't understand. Human nature dictates that we reject and destroy that which we don't understand and this is further impacted by the religious community which tells us that anything that we don't understand must be a sin. Forgive your parents, they don't know any better. I'm glad you have friends who support you and care enough about you to continue their friendships. Stand strong and be proud of who you are. Eventually your parents will hopefully realize that you are the same person that you have been all along. -
I don't remember the exact quote from the book of Leviticus, but if a woman is not a virgin at the time of marriage, she should be put to death.
If this was practiced in modern times, well, we'd have a lot of dead women. What I'm trying to say is that you are completely normal, and your parents beliefs are based on a draconian book that is thousands of years out of practice.

Homosexuality is entirely normal among mammals. Tell your hateful family / relatives that they'll go to Hell for their intolerance.

morrigan123 is correct. bumcum is relaying Jesus' biggest ideal, "and the first of these is Love". Also see the Beatitudes and think on the reverse and the converse of them.
