UPLOADERS should be given more bonus or ratio points. Otherwise why upload
-
If you upload a video you should be given more ratio or bonus points, otherwise why upload? The guy who just seeds gets the same thing as a guy who takes the effort to make the torrent and upload it. Without the uploaders the site would not be so much fun :-[
I wish someone would take this suggestion into consideration. The more I think about it, the less I want to take the time to add anything to the site and just leave my pc on and just seed,
-
**That actually sounds fair to me If there would be no uploads of new torrents and people would only download, seed and donate to the best of their abilities (like I do) ::) then after some time there would be nothing new to download…. So I would have to agree uploaders of new torrents, should get a bonus or something.... ;D

You forget that here it is all about sharing with different ways to share back what you take:
- Use your upload bandwidth to seed what you downloaded and enjoyed
- Upload new torrents to give others new content not yet available, because of the films you downloaded and liked
- Seeding long time some torrents you enjoyed and keep them alive over pauses of higher bandwidth seeders
Uploading new torrents by definition are already more beneficial that seeding torrents you downloaded before:
You get only Upload credits, no malus of Download. In addition, being the first allows to seed plenty copies.Just have look at my statistics and you see the "bonus" uploading and seeding does to a Ratio.
In addition, each piece of data downloaded, must be seed by another member, "falsifying" the statistics would just hide that hard truth (because seeding is harder than leeching due to most used internet connection's limits).

Hello.
I think most sites don't give you anything in form of bonuses for seeding, let alone uploading/initial seeding. In my personal humble opinion it should not be required…. people who download should also upload at times, not only seed back what they downloaded but also upload material for others, it's the spirit of file sharing.
I have uploaded a ton of material i had from a whole bunch of other places, i would still do so but currently don't have the technical ability (my office moved to a new location and we don't have a leased line yet - it can take a couple of months!) but as soon as i have a line again i will upload again, and meantime i might even throw in a torrent on my slow home ADSL line which i will have to turn off during nights.
I don't do it for the points but to share with the community. If i could give away the points to others who might need them to get their ratios up i would do so......
Kind regards....

Technically, you do get a bonus when you upload a new torrent, because you are not charged for any download.
-
and that is why some other sites do not give bonus..cause you give someone a ride and they want to drive…
I share...because i want to...even tho its been a while since I shared anything in here...
you don't have to upload/share...but its nice that you do...

wow.
kind not to be "charged" for something we gave to the site. -
I'm wondering why someone with a ratio of 5.802 and a seed bonus nearly 2,800 (at the time of this post) is demanding more ratio/seed bonus be added to his already high amounts.
I don't get the point of this thread.

Impossible to say, for certain equal or above 0.95

I think you answered your own question.
Why upload? You're right. Without uploaders, no torrent site would be any fun.
My confusion is, why does everyone feel entitled to some special glory for uploading?
Instead of looking at ratios, how about comparing the number of torrents you download compared to the number you upload. THAT should be your reward. And if you're looking to increase your ratio, simply leave your torrents running for as long as possible. You'll get the seed bonus for the number of hours you're seeding.
Now, if this were a pay-site, I could see some concern about being rewarded to balance any subscription fees, but since it's free, I'm more than happy to give when I can. When you can, do. When you can't, don't.
That's my ten cents
My two cents is free
A nuisance. Who sent?
You sent for me?I wonder if Eminem's really would melt in my mouth! ;D

True, I should have looked better.
Anyway, he was already a Power User and had Auto Approval for 5 months when he made the thread.
-

He must have seen the light because he has uploaded 3 torrents this year already(thank you for sharing wade). I can say he has been a power user since late 2008 and had auto approve privileges just as long.
As far as being "charged" your own upload…that would be a deal breaker for me to. If I put together a nice 2GB torrent to upload and then got slammed with 2GB of "leeched" traffic for that upload, I would just stop uploading. Thankfully that is not the deal here. Your upload guarantees at least it's size in seeded traffic plus any charity SBP users may give to you.

wow.
kind not to be "charged" for something we gave to the site.To avoid confusion, that wasn't said by a member of the GayTorrent.ru Staff, but a very experienced member.
As far as I understand that remark, it just want to explain why technically own new torrents are more beneficial for share ratio than downloading something and redistribute it.

An uploader gets the same seedbonus as a leecher.
Only difference is that he might get seedbonuspoints by other users.
This gives - In my opinion - an advantage to uploaders of highly anticipated
torrents from popular studios like machofucker, ericvideos, timtales and so on.
Most of them in the catageory bareback. These torrents will always receive
a ton of seedbonuspoints. What I like about this site is the diversity of it's content. It's not
reduced to bareback, twinks and anal(clips).Other catagories might not be as popular but they provide a wide variety
of content to this site. To increase the benefits for uploaders wouldn't
necessarily mean a lot more torrents but it will show the will to such a
variety.Wouldn't it be nice to reward uploaders by doubling their uploadbonus or
10 bonuspoints for every successful upload? -
I also think that uploaders already have an advantage over those that downloaded files then become seeders. However, I hope new users are given some kind of privelege like extra seed bonus or something because it's somewhat hard to maintain a good ratio unless I upload a huge file sized torrent since most of the video files available here are around 1gig or more. It was too late for me when I found out about the first uploader bonus (I was already on my third upload) && I hope the system developers would make it automatic somehow…
off topic ::) I also hope that users have access to other torrents uploaded by other users (I'm a new user so I'm not really sure if this feature is available; so far, I haven't seen any). It would be easier for users to track down uploads of their fave uploaders (not sure how this will work out with the site's privacy regulations) AND for uploaders to keep their torrents alive, consequently making it also easier to up their ratio (esp. for new users).

First off, Thank you for sharing. Your solo cam collections look really hot.
Secondly, The First Time uploader program is not a site option or even a staff option to "enable" during your first upload. The first time uploader program is something I came up with personally to reward the hard work it takes to upload a new torrent while actually following the rules. Other mods and even admins have given points to uploaders once we find them but all the points that I have given away have been earned by me through uploads of my own.
Just search for cumeaternc to see how generous other members have been to me since they like my uploads.(Thank you all btw)
Finally, the sad thing about your first upload was that you were seeding too many torrents during the upload process. This slows down you initial seeding speed and it slows down the approval process as most mods that work the torrent approval section will send you a note saying you are seeding/leeching too much and then move the next torrent in the queue. It also disqualified it for the first time uploader program since a mod had to intervene during torrent approval.
As a token of appreciation for not only uploading but continuing to upload I gave your first torrent a 25 point seed bonus. While it is half of what I normally give for smaller first time uploads I just wanted to personally say thank you for sharing!(keep an eye out because I'm almost willing to bet other members and mods may follow suit to say thank you.)

Gee, my bad on that and thanks for the initiative. Hope site devs would somehow integrate this idea to the system which would also help fledgling uploaders a lot.

Hahahah yeah kinda noticed that too cause I was trying to seed like crazy to up my ratio, only then I realized the BIGGER advantage of being an uploader than merely a seeder. BTW, thanks for the seed points , wasn't expecting that

Just an idea I have after reading this thread.
If the site admin ever decide to go with the idea of rewarding uploader, I would suggest auto rewarding 1 Seeder Bonus point for every complete download. This will most likely inflate the SBP system so simply deduct 1 SBP from every downloader of that torrent.
-
That is about one of the ideas brought forward by the administrators some months ago.
