Searching for Torrent Comments

Hi
Is there a way that i can see a list of all the comments i have posted on torrents?
What about if i want to see all the comments posted by another user - is it also possible to do this?
Thanks
Bum

Yes, you can see all your comments.
Browsing of other members' comments is depend on their privacy level setting.https://www.gaytorrent.ru/userhistory.php?action=viewcomments&id=userid
e.g. mine

Wow! Thank you, Mr Global Moderator, Sir!
I should have asked this ages ago, because it has long been something i wanted to do, but i always assumed that it probably wasn't possible. Just goes to prove the old adage "you don't get if you don't ask"!
This really is a great site with great staff
Thanks again, smithdtn!
Happy Bumming

Oops! I just tried to view my own torrent comments using the code (obviously replacing your user ID with my own) and i got a "permission denied" message. Perhaps this function is only available to staff?
-
Oh, you're right! Sorry… :afr:
-
An easy mistake to make, smithdtn, so no problem
-
BummerBoy, try this. Go to your profile, there's the number of the Torrent Comments you've made. If this number is clickable, then click it and let us know if it works.
-
Thanks Dax, but i have already tried this (actually i just tried it again in case false memory syndrome had struck, lol). Sadly the number is not clickable for me… :blownose:
-
That number is clickable for me, but I didn't know if it was because I'm a staff member or because it's clickable for everyone.
Sorry, BummerBoy!
Perhaps that's a feature which we could add for all members. (Hint to Admins ;)) -
Thanks, Dax
I did think about suggesting it as a feature ages ago, but i would guess that there are many other features that would and probably should take priority…
-
That number is a "Site" function, not a "Forum" function. Therefore there should be no exception for Dax being yet "only" forum staff. I'll need to test that with my testing account.

I'm not a staff member but have Auto-Approval rights from back in the day.
Don't know if that has something to do with it but I'm happy that it works.
Just wish that BummerBoy could use it too … -
Hi, Andy!
Auto-Approval and Gay Leader are special forum classes distinct from the post-dependent classes (eg. Lurker, Newbie etc.). Members who belong to those two classes, despite the fact that have no specific duties, are considered members of the forum staff. So, maybe you didn't know this, but you are a forum staff member.

I've tested that link in the number with my test account, which got Power User status, and it worked. Perhaps there is a misunderstanding about which Profile page we speak: It is the Site Profile page to which a click on the name in "Welcome back, …" leads and not the Forum Profile.
-
@ Uwe - It is the site profile page that I've been trying this on (and just tried again to make absolutely sure) and this number is still not clickable for me.
@ andy32 - thanks for the nice words
-
Just to add my two cents worth. I'm not staff or auto-approval but the number beside 'Torrent Comments' in my Profile is clickable.
Maybe it's OK for power users…?
???

BummerBoy, try using a different browser to test.
I remember using a version of Opera that had problems with some links (can't remember which version). Nothing would happen when I clicked on some links, tho they were recognized as clickable.
Try it with FireFox.When I click on your or anyone's torrent comment number it works for me, as always.

Try it with FireFox.Hi Trukr
Many thanks for your message and apologies for the delay replying.
I have tried a number of different browsers, but sadly all have given me the same result, ie the comments number is unclickable. I've not, however, tested Firefox as far as i can remember. (I'm currently on the road and my only net access for some days will be via my smartphone, so i can't check this at the moment). However Uwe previously logged in as me and was similarly unable to click on the number of comments, so i doubt if this is a problem with the browser I'm using…

This is a "Power User" - feature.
