Seeding torrents not registering
-
I saw the notice on the front page about the service being interrupted for a while, so maybe it's nothing, but today none of the torrents I am seeding are registering on the site, even though they are all active in utorrent. (Sometimes if there's a problem they turn red and there's an error message in the description box, but they seem fine.)
I'm not worried about my ratio. I'd just like to see if anyone else has this problem, or if it's something that's being looked into already. Thanks in advance for any help! Cheers.

I'm having a similar problem. Basically none of my torrents are being seen by the tracker, and none of my new torrent downloads are reaching the server. I flushed my DNS cache, just to see if that was the problem, but that didn't seem to work, either.
-
there was a technical issue with the tracker, since 3 am cet, but it has been fixed already at cca. 18 o'clock gmt/cet. it should be working by now for all users.
if you still encounter problems, this may be related to your ISP's DNS cache, thus flushing your personal DNS can't help, as it receives DNS from your ISP.
you can test it so that you try to see what IP address you see when addressing the tracker …

Since the weekend half the torrents on uTorrent are red but say 'Seeding' but are not counted in my profile on the site. I've never seen this happen before. It appears to be the oldest torrents that are affected
-
Strange indeed. I've just looked to mine and all a blue, including the oldest from mid 2008.
What is the tracker announce URL in its properties, does it look like:
http://tracker.gaytorrent.ru/HereYour SecretePasskey/announce
or does they start with http://tracker.gtru.net/ … ?
Please don't post your secrete passkey here. It is enough if you confirm the URL to be the right format and using gaytorrent.ru i/o gtru.net.
Then, did you restart µTorrent already?
-
All the torrents (both the reds and greens) have http://tracker.gtru.net:2710 / passkey / announce
uTorrent has been restarted several times since the problem began
-
As of today, all of my torrents seem to be working normally again. I don't know if it was the issue with the site that amice mentioned. My torrent properties have the full 'gaytorrent.ru', not 'gtru'. Hope it works out for everyone else. Thanks for the help!

All the torrents (both the reds and greens) have http://tracker.gtru.net:2710 / passkey / announce
uTorrent has been restarted several times since the problem began
Can you reboot your computer and if that doesn't help, as well your modem/router (the bow from the ISP)?
-
Both the pc and router have been rebooted several times since the weekend. I'll keep an eye on it and see if things improve

@ martini20: You might as well download the torrent-files again from the tracker. If you add the newly downloaded torrents to your bittorrent client and choose the same path, where the old downloaded stuff was, your bittorrent client will not download the stuff again, but you should verify it before you start seeding again. :true:
-
@martini20 : for those with the red arrow, what are the "Status" and what is the tracker status message behind the tracker announce URL under the "Tracker" tab in the lower µTorrent window part.
The tracker message can be long and you might need to expand the column to get the full message. Usually the message gives a good hint to the issue.

Is GTRU still running tracker.gtru.net:2710?
I just swapped one of my torrents with (what I thought was the old temporary tracker announce) tracker.gtru.net:2710 and it went red when I restarted it. When I put back tracker.gaytorrent.ru:2710 and restarted it, it was just fine.
-
Yes, that tracker should run. Actually it is the same tracker, both URL should point to the same IP.
Check your hosts file, reboot the PC and modem/router. Until yesterday the DNS of gtru.net was wrong for 2 days.
-
It appears things are back to normal
Yesterday afternoon, after several hours, the red torrents turned to green one by one. They were ok this morning and again this afternoon.Cheers for the help and suggestions Uwe and Speedmaster8
-
That might have to do with the late change of the IP in the DNS for tracker.gtru.net …
-
I'm having a similar problem. since yesterday.. and I just notice some of it would just go green for a few sec…then back to red. and on .ru site noting is registed as seeding..
