Playstation Network Is Down…Ahhhhh!
-
I am an avid gamer. I own pretty much every system there is except for an Xbox360. I say that because honestly the games for the PS3 and the 360 overlap so much that it would probably be a poor investment for me right now.
I know each system has their awesome exclusives but honestly I love platformers, adventure games, rpgs and action/adventure games so the PS3 was a better fit for me. Also it came with a built in Blu-Ray player which seemed like a big to me at the time but to tell te truth I hardly ever actually pop in a Bluray and watch it.
My question is this…how important is it to you beat down other gamers for the system they chose?
I remember when Final Fantasy XIII was no longer a PS3 exclusive how so many fanboys got up in arms about it. My opinion is that fact that another system gets a great game I can play doesn't make it a poor game for me.
I say all of this because PSN has been offline for about a week and the message boards are lit up with what I consider hateful attacks on PS3 owners.

I rarely play "on line" any more.
I got tired of being called dirty names by 5 year olds because you beat them or kids that had a bad day at school so they NEED to ruin everyone else's day by wrecking people in racing games.

Me too but a month is a little long to be able to use my netflix "MONTHLY" subscription.
-
They said they are going to give credits for things like that.
-
I would certainly hope so on the principle that you should not have to pay for a service that you are unable to receive.
-
They aren't charging people for the time they can't play online. They are going to give extra credit to everyone for the time the system was down.
-
At least they have enough ethic to not have to make users put up a fight for what is right.
-
Well at least they try to redeem themselves by offering free games when the PS Store will open

WOW! What a welcome back package. 4 free games(2 PS3 and 2 PSP), A free Playstation Plus upgrade for 30 days(current Plus members get 60 days), 100 free virtual items for Playstation Home, A free "On Us" weekend of video rentals(three free movies for download rental) & enrollment in a identity protection service(U.S. only I think). Not bad Sony…try not to f**k up again though...ok!

@RavenaZintos-0 How did you manage to revive a thread that's been dead for 12 years??? LOL
-
@frostycab Why does it matter? It's still a subject that can be discussed, regardless how long it's been dead.
-
@cinemacapman It doesn't really. I'm just amazed that it happened, although I think it's probably safe to say the issue that prompted the topic has probably been resolved by now. hehe
