Little tip
-
Don't send the "get your ratio up!" message out to new users…I hadn't even been downloading an hour when I got my warning.
Give us a chance to get our ratio up before warning us...at least 1GB downloaded or something
-
hello…
the warning is sended out only if you have more then 1 gb download....
and this is just to let the user know by the beginning that he has to take care of fair sharing....
if i send this out after the user is maybe one week online... he says i didnt know that. how can i fix that huge amount now.....
so we thought it is better to send this one very early...
-
Ohhh. It wasn't the little tip I was expecting.
A big tip would be nice too
BTW, with the upload bonus and stuff, it's not too hard to keep your ratio up. I got a warning first off but it didn't take long to upload the required amount and the bonus is a great way to help out if you're in a jam.
-
I've left my computer on with utorrent uploading and downloading at a max of 50 kbs each, but now I'm in a jam ratio wise, it seems like the files I download are in lower demand and their seeding is high…
-
You picked 5 torrents that have a total of 37 seeders and 2 leechers, so this isn't good.
Not to mention the fact that you aren't seeding anyway. You aren't far from reaching .350 so you really need to seed them back if you want to download again.
-
I'm seeding 6, Damn, this sucks. I'll have to download at 1kbs until my ratio goes back up… Sigh... I've been banned before because of the same thing. It sucks getting punished even though your doing everything you can... :weep:

Should there be an actual "grace period" for new users? Or maybe a training thread in the forums that must be read before a new user gets himself(herself) into to much trouble.
You'll be amazed at how many computer harddrives go bad when a ratio is below the minimum required. :rotfl:
Why is it the members with good ratios never loose everything with a pc crash? ???
