      tl;dr Free Speech matters.

setup: In wake of Kirk murder,

      • some people went to get a flyer printed, for some Kirk vigil

      • Office Depot employees were libs, they refused, showed their hate & bigotry

      • customer complained

      • Office Depot higher ups took care of it, fired bad libs

Got that? They handled it by speech & market processes.

So what does Idiot Pam Bondi do? Threaten to prosecute šŸ™„

      https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/bondi-threatens-charges-over-office-140728168.html

      Charlie would hate it.

He didn't want to jail opponents (just for being opponents), he wanted free speech & free markets. Office Depot already handled the bad-lib employee.

Good part: I'm not only one to see problem.

Matt Walsh, who I rarely like, but when he's right he's right, said

ā€œGet rid of her. Today. This is insane. Conservatives have fought for decades for the right to refuse service to anyone. We won that fight. Now Pam Bondi wants to roll it all back for no reason. The employee who didn’t print the flyer was already fired by his employer.ā€

ā€œThis stuff is being handled successfully through free speech and free markets. This is totally gratuitous and pointless. We need the AG focused on bringing down the left wing terror cells, not prosecuting Office Depot for God’s sake.ā€

I hope Bondi backtracks at least.

        @blablarg18

I'm a near free speech absolutist, meaning I tend to agree with SCOTUS. When in doubt, I side with free speech. This is pretty much the same stance Charlie had.

@raphjd It looks like Daily Wire & Shapiro want to take over TPUSA, probably in a bid to make it more pro-Israel, pro-Ukraine, pro-war.

          I'm not saying they'll succeed.

"Attorney General Pam Bondi said the Trump administration will be "targeting" hate speech, which she differentiated from free speech — and then tried to walk it back a day later."

            https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/justice-department/attorney-general-pam-bondi-doj-hate-speech-rcna231633

"There’s free speech and then there’s hate speech," Bondi said in an interview with "The Katie Miller Podcast" that aired Monday

Quote ā˜ so legally stupid, it disqualifies her.

All Free Speech, anything worthwhile or new, is "hate speech" to someone.

            Charlie Kirk said last year,

Hate speech does not exist legally in America. There’s ugly speech. There’s gross speech. There’s evil speech. And ALL of it is protected by the First Amendment. Keep America free

            Bondi's walkback?

In an interview later Monday...Bondi said "It’s free speech, but you shouldn’t be employed anywhere if you’re going to say that. And employers, you have an obligation to get rid of people."

            "Shouldn't" "anywhere" ??? pathetic šŸ™„

            Others appear more sane.

ā€œWe don’t need DOJ to prosecute ā€˜hate speech.’ Pam Bondi really isn’t ready for this moment,ā€ far right [sic; centrist] commentator Mike Cernovich posted on X.

House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., said, ā€œIn America, it’s a very important part of our tradition that — this is a conservative principle, and certainly an American principle — we do not censor and silence disfavored viewpoints. People in America are allowed to say crazy things.ā€

ā€œThat said, if I’m an employer or a government agency and I have someone online who is online celebrating the heinous murder of an innocent young husband and father, I can make the decision that they don’t deserve to work for me," Johnson added.

"Can" fire someone whose speech you don't like..............
................... but not "should" fire someone whose speech Bondi doesn't like. Ok. Better

Tuesday, Bondi walked it back more. Said she had only meant "Hate speech that crosses the line into threats of violence"

            https://x.com/AGPamBondi/status/1967913066554630181

Still retarded tho. As Charlie said, THERE IS NO HATE SPEECH - TO BEGIN WITH.

Hate speech does not exist legally in America. There’s ugly speech. There’s gross speech. There’s evil speech. And ALL of it is protected by the First Amendment.

Either something is criminal incitement, threat, fraud etc.............or it is WAYyyyyyyyyyyyyyy protected from Bondi's interference, despite "hateful".
