Hey guys,
what do you think about porn movies and latest porn trends in general?
What I experience is that there are much more contents now as we had 20 years ago, thanks to amateur stuff and onlyfans, but I miss the creativity and quality of the good old movies from the 2000s and 2010s.
I've also noticed that if you go to a sauna or gay crusing bar or any other places like that, the screens and projectors most play movies from that era.
Guys are still hot, maybe hotter than ever, but the porn they make is just so shallow.. Right in the middle of fucking without any introduction, bad lighting and bad direction... And the biggest problem is the lack of creativity. I just don't believe the situations and I miss the passion from the guys... like they are doing their job but I don't really care...
I just found an old hard disk and found a lot of great porn movies from the golden era... I can't even describe the difference from what you get now if you start to search for latest stuff.. not to mention the horrible onlyfans attempts...
What's your thought about that?

Tbh i don't think the acting was any better, neither was the directing. I know there used to be much more plot-driven films back in the day, even feature films with characters that were somewhat well developed. And today every body is just either dad/son/sibling which says a lot about the viewer base...
I'd like to have those plot-driven porn making a comeback, but not in a pathetic attempt of making an art essay like some recent attempts from known directors, such as Noel Alejandro. I'd prefer something that is still more porn than film, just with a backbone to pave the way and enhance the action.
One thing that I don't miss for sure are the condoms, and one thing that I miss like hell are the pubes and body hair, today it seems like everybody is a hairy hunk with just a few whispies down there...
And if we are to get a half-assed plot with a cringy performance, there's nothing wrong with skipping it altogether and going straight to the action. It works well, specially for big stars. I mean, it's impossible for me to see Teddy Torres and don't immediatelly see Teddy Torres, which is character already, not a real person, and it's a character I'm familiar with, I know he's a porn performer.

I totally agree with you, it would be so great to have some plot and than it's the viewer's decision, whether they wanna watch the introduction, or skip it straight to the action.
You know, what I miss is that scenes are maybe realistic now, but I like porn fantasies more, with handy-men, factory workers, prison scenes, whatever. They might be fake but it's still something that is like roleplay, maybe it's far from reality and shows a situation that would never happen in real life, but it makes me horny even to watch the introduction and imagine what happens next. Getting a blow job in a public toilet of a truck stop, or something like that. I just watched Cazzofilm's Mannerlager movie that sets in a factory... totally fake, the whole movie, but real porn actors and real action. I loved it. Great nostalgia!

I mentioned Noel Alejandro in a way that's more insulting than he deserves, to be fair... It's just too short and color-graded to look like a theater movie, but other than that the actors are amazingly talented and hot. I still stand by what I said, though. I believe it only works because the actors are not particularly famous. If he puts Teddy Torres there I'll definitely be watching but it'd be really tough to pretend I'm not seeing Teddy Torres. Not a very imaginative person, I assume

There are definitely sites where you can order what you want, and ask for the performers you want, and have them make a porno for you. Occasionally you see something like that posted here.

Yeah, totally agree with you. I do like the bigger variety of porn we get nowadays because of amateur stuff, but I do miss the older movies.
As cheesy and silly as the stories were they do help with the mood, they add an element of fantasy to the scenes that makes it hotter. Most of my favorite porn are the ones that have a little bit of a story to set the stage.

Yeah I got your point, and not just the introduction that sets the mood, but it was more like two guys having a real sex, with foreplay and everything... like it really happens in real life, you undress each other... suck dick through the pants, briefs or from the zippers..
Gay guys have fetishes, and that's why I just don't understand why most porn movies are direct-to action scenes without any scenario. Even the totally unreal mechanic or gym sets with sweaty guys are more exciting than totally naked guys.
