A couple of reasons why I hate large collections
-
- they take HOURS to recheck in the torrent client before you can get anything done.
- filled with mostly stuff you don't want
- often are never completed because of a lack of seeders willing to host those monsters.
- are loaded with dupes
- often contain zips and pics that are not tied to the videos in the collection.
-
I love large collections when they are done right.
An example of one done right (making this up but you get the idea) is "BAO 2020".
An example of one done wrong is "my collection of DILF".

@raphjd I admit that my laptop screen is just 17.5" (my big monitors all got destroyed)
BUT at 17.5" there is a collection of 433 videos that is over 191 GB which when I process is less than 1/3 that size - and there is no visible difference in quality. The main reason for that is the originals were much larger than they should have been for that quality. As an analogy. What goes faster driving through city traffic? A Yugo or an Indy 500 car? They both get through the city traffic at the same speed.
Another analogy. A lot of videos are made with cell phone cameras. There is no point in encoding a video to have higher resolution and framerate than the original source. I realize that at 8k resolution, one can zoom in to the point of seeing individual pores on someone's skin. I don't need that, in fact, too much resolution shows up blemishes and zits, etc. In mainstream movies, they used to intentionally put diffusers on movie cameras to hide all the wrinkles and moles on their stars.

I'm just talking about large collections, as a general idea.
If someone uploads "BAO 2020" I will usually grab that unless I know the uploader uploads crap.
If someone uploads "my collection of DILF" I usually ignore it.
As for Fan stuff, I tend only to get stuff from a select group of performers. Professional porn stars tend to have the best quality stuff on OF, etc.
